Lack of motivation...

Yikes. All week I've done barely any work. Could it be that I now work in an office versus when I worked out in the open cube area where people could actually see what I was doing? I don't know what it is. But it seems like I'm slowly but surely losing all my motivation to work. This can't be good. Anyway, here I am updating my blog at 3:30 in the afternoon. I have some serious food coma and just want to take a nap. Let's see what the hell I've been doing with my life...

Monday - work, gym, home

Tuesday - work, gym, home (thrilling.)

Wednesday - work, Green Lantern bar with terrible drinks, Sportspage for delicious drinks, home, pho with Ellen and her friend Lawrence

Thursday - work, lunch at Pick Up Stix (this panda express knock off that seems much healthier, but not as delicious), ice cream from Dairy Queen (yum!), and later I'm going to a trampoline cardio class with Melissa, Sharon, and Rachel! Yay!

Plans for the weekend? Nothing. Because I am a loser and my life is pathetic. Sweet.

More shopping? CRAP!

Ahhh more shopping. I really didn't mean to. I practically live at the mall... and I'm not exactly proud of that. *sigh. Anyway, on to my beloved purchases (and weekend updates).

Yesterday I had work which was same ol', same ol'. After work I headed home, de-worked, and met up with Andrew and Kathy for dinner at Thai Chef. The dinner was pretty damn yummy (I was craving Thai food) and the food came out really fast. Like freakishly fast. Within about 5 minutes. It's insane. We ordered chinese broccoli and beef, pad thai, red curry, and sticky rice with mango. Yum! I love Thai food. It was pretty random/funny... Bo, Thuy, Oranju, and Jen showed up at Thai Chef for dinner as we were finishing up! After dinner, went to Andrew's place and took a Goldschlager shot and dropped our purses off. Then we met up with Bo and company at Dolce in North Beach. Dolce was okay, a nice place. There were some really crazy people dancing there. Mainly just one really sweaty guy in a blue shirt and another ugly guy in a black shirt. CRAZY. Stayed at the club until about 1 am, then Kathy and I left and shared a cab home.

Today, woke up at 10 am, was upset I woke up so early on the weekend, then forced myself to sleep till about 1 pm. Got dressed and headed out to the Stonestown Mall for errands. I went to Nordy's to get my jeans hemmed (and my poor split jeans fixed), bought four books from Border's (yay buy three get one free!), got a delicious chinese salad from Boudin's, walked around and bought some stuff, got my eyebrows waxed, and a pedicure. After my long ass mall adventure, went to Albertson's to grab some essentials (aka water, milk, eggs, ramen, spam, raviolis, and spaghetti-o's). Now I am home, watching Shrek and feeling a little bit guilty about how much I spent today. Oh well.

Tonight I'm going to meet up with Sabrina and possibly Andrew to go to Club 443. I've never been there. But I'll be sure to yelp it before I head out. I haven't seen Sabrina in a bit so it should be fun.

Things I've bought:

Gap - knee length jean skirt, blue stripey button-down long sleeve shirt

Nordys - brown eyeliner, naturally glossy mascara, free gift (yay!) that came with a mini lip gloss, mini mascara, sunscreen, face wash, cute little white makeup bag with FRUIT on it!

Border's - Swapping Lives by Jane Green, Lucky by Alice Sebold, Almost French by Sarah Turnbull, and There's a (Slight) Chance I Might Be Going to Hell by Laurie Notaro

**Update: I'm retarded, and I've actually been to Club 443 with Cheech before. haha, I'm stupid. Anyway, Andrew and I tried to get into the club but for some strange reason it was hella crowded. So we went to Bamboo Hut instead for a beer then went home. How boring.

Shopping!

Ahhh shopping. I've hardly done any work today, and I figure I'll keep that feeling going by not working now. I've just shopped online in the morning and then I went to Jamba Juice for lunch *yum. Carribean Passion and sourdough pretzel. Yum! Anyway, back to the more important subject of the day: shopping.

Yesterday I got Alloy.com clearance catalog in the mail. Actually I think it was addressed to Ellen. Anyway, I haven't bought anything from Alloy or Delia*s in over a year and I figured I'd take a look to kill time. Unfortunately for me, I found a few REALLY cute things! Fortunately for my back account, they were all really cheap things. *yay. So this morning after our meeting (where we learned about gapminder.org which is possibly one of the coolest websites of all time), I immediately went to Delias.com and Alloy.com. I didn't find anything really cute at Delias, but I did find tons-o-stuff at Alloy.

After shopping for about... oh 10 minutes, I had a lot of crap in my shopping basket. I ended up buying:

cute navy polka dot shirt, grey Volcom shirt

black sweater hoodie, Red sweater with ELBOW pataches!

grey sweater shirt with PRETEND tank-top sewn in!

All for the low price of $77 after tax and with free shipping. AWESOME. I think I got a pretty good deal. I really like the grey sweater shirt thingy. It looks fancy! It looks like you have a shirt underneath on, but it's really just a pretend shirt sewn into the sweater part. SWEET. Anyway, now I want to buy a new makeup bag even though I don't need it. But it's pretty darn cute. It's from Nordy's for like $55. I figure I can just keep it at home to store all my makeup. Right now I have like three smaller makeup bags holding random makeup. It'd be better to have one big makeup holder, then keep the smaller bags for traveling only. I'm totally rationalizing why I should buy this makeup bag. Yikes. Anyway. I still want it.

And now I think it's time for me to get work. Or something. Hm. I really just want to sit on the beanbag, read my book, and then take a nap. I can't wait till the weekend so I can just lounge. My past few weekends have been pretty action packed... more action packed than I'm used to at least. So it's time for a nice chill weekend. *wee.

Hanging out... at work

So it's approximately 6:30 pm on Monday. And I'm just sitting here at work. *sigh. Very boring. I'm contemplating what I should eat for dinner. The food in the cafe in my building sounds pretty gross... so I'm thinking about driving over to L&L's for some Hawaiian bbq. Hmmm. What to do? I have like three hours to kill before I go to the Oakland Airport to pick up Ellen. Yeesh. I think I'll have to sit on the beanbag and watch episodes of the Office. Yes, that sounds like a loverly idea.

Recap of my weekend...

Thursday - worked, Brian drove me to the airport (thanks!!), flew home, did laundry

Friday - went to Verizon to get a new phone (where I had to explain the problem all over again and endure the Verizon people thinking I'm an idiot), went to lunch @ Kabuki with Sooz, went to the mall and got a really CUTE dress (it's a deep v-neck cream colored dress with a black floral print) and a replacement pair of shoes (since I fell last week and scrapped my other pair which sucked ass... THANKS SOOZ!), went home, went to Al's grad, went to dinner at Carmine's, met up with Magus, David, and Wei, went to some shady oyster bar place in San Gabriel, watched Ocean's 13. Whew. Long day.

Saturday - watched tv, hung around the house, got ready for the wedding, drove out to Ellen's parent's place in K-Town, drove out to Torrance for the wedding (which was pretty short and sweet), went to Starbuck's to kill time before dinner, went to dinner @ Sea Empress (or some Chinese restaurant that was called Empress-something... I forget), drove back home, changed out of my wedding clothes, Chris and Sooz picked me up, headed to K-Town and met up with Ellen, Eunie, and Caroline at Nan Da Rang (coffee/bar place), after coffee went to Hodori where Chris and Sooz ate some Korean food, felt like throwing up for some weird reason (sorry guys!) but I didn't throw up... just felt REALLY gross, got dropped off at home, passed out. Another long day.

Sunday - woke up at 8:30 am, went with my mom and my Aunt to the Jewelry Show at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium, bought a bling bling Chanel necklace pendant and a really cute opal ring, went home, ate The Hat, my family drove me to the airport, flew home, Super Shuttled home from SFO, unpacked, watched my Office dvd, passed out.

Whew. So my weekend was fun but SUPER packed and I didn't really get much sleep.

Still sick

So today has been a total wash. I have done barely any work. Right now I am watching the first episode of the Office, Season 3. Wow. I am tired. I've been since sick last Friday. Boooo.

Anyway, what the hell have I been doing this week?

Monday - work

Tuesday - work, dinner with Ellen (Golden Flower pho! yum), crepes from Genki

Wednesday - work... where I am right now. It's very quiet and boring. Brian is actually sleeping on the bean bag. Hmm.

Tomorrow I'm heading down to LA again for Al's graduation on Friday and I'm also going to a wedding with Ellen on Saturday as her "date." Yay! I love weddings. I think I'll just have to wear an old dress since I'm tired of shopping. *yawn...

Lovely Lazy Sundays

So today was a... well not a super lazy Sunday. But definitely a kick-back day. To rewind...

Friday - woke up at 7:30 am with a wicked sore throat. Emailed my boss and told him I wouldn't be coming into work, then slept till 12 noon. Woke up, ate a lean pocket and a lil bit of my CPK salad, fell back asleep until 4 pm. Finally got out of bed to just move over to the couch where I watched The Office season 2 dvds and played Cake Mania on my DS lite. Before I knew it, it was 9 pm. Holy crap. I did beat Cake Mania tho... I'm quite proud of myself. The game is SUPER addicting, I've made Ellen addicted to it too. Heehee! Anyway, had some popcorn and nyquil and then knocked out around 11 or 12.

Saturday - woke up at 10:30 am to do laundry, only to find that there were some maintenance guys changing the water heater for the building. So no laundry. Also, no shower. Yikes! Ellen woke up and we headed over Pluto's in the Marina. Mmmm. Pluto's... best steak sandwich and garlic fries. After lunch, we stopped at this place called Kara's Cupcakes and I got myself and George a few. Ellen and I hung around (AKA took turns playing Cake Mania) the house and THANKFULLY the hot water was restored by 4 pm. I was able to shower and get ready by the time Ty came over at 5 pm.

We drove down to San Jose to meet up with Cheech for George's birthday at E&O Trading Company. Dinner was QUITE delicious. I was a lil wary of an Asian place with hardly any Asian patrons but I was proven wrong. I got the Sticky Spicy Sweet Chicken with rice and veggies. Quite delish. The chicken was really moist and tasty. After dinner we all walked over to the San Jose Improv Comedy Club on 2nd Street. The first two comics were pretty funny and then came the headliner: Norm McDonald. WOW. Norm McDonald. He was TERRIBLE! He stumbled on stage claiming to only be drinking coke (maybe it was cocaine?) and slurred his entire set. Yikes. He made heinous jokes about child molestation, gay sex, bestiality, and how he watches porn. Hey, I don't mind dirty jokes and foul language... but c'mon. It has to at least be funny. Yeesh. So all in all, it was an interesting show to see how far Norm McDonald has fallen. It's actually quite sad.

Sunday/Today - woke up around 11 am, did laundry (woohoo!), showered, headed over to the Haight with Ellen and met up with Melissa and Emily. The Haight Street Fair was pretty fun... interesting and a lil bit shady. We ate these delicious sausage dogs *yum, had sno-cones, and got thai iced tea. I was looking for my Einstein shirt at The Vault but alas, they did not have it. The salesgirl even said that people were asking for it, but they didn't carry it anymore. *sigh. I'll look on eBay and see if anyone is selling it. Stupid Einstein shirt. I should've bought it when I saw it last year. Anywhoo, I spent all my money today on food. No fun purchases unfortunately.

After the fair Ellen and I just chilled at home (AKA took turns playing Cake Mania). I've also signed up for eHarmony.com which is a bit weird for me... but it's definitely fun. It's kind of like a shopping game. I see a semi-cute guy, click a button, and *BAM our communication has started. Or I'll get a few conversation starters from guys! It's pretty fun. So far only nasty guys have asked to communicate with me so far. Bleh, but I have started a few convos with some interesting/cool looking guys. I just hope I meet a few cool people off the site... even if I don't find a hot man to date, it'll still be an interesting experience? Hmmm. We shall see...

I'm still feeling crappy and sick unfortunately. My head-cold from yesterday has turned into a throat/lungs cold now. I have a sore throat and a little bit of a cough. I should be fine tomorrow, but if not, I'll just work from home. I am planning on going to work tho. :) We shall see in the AM! I have taken quite a bit of nighttime cough medicine, so let's see if it helps at all.

Shopping Addictions

I can't stop shopping. Seriously. I've gone shopping like 5x in the last two weeks or so. I went shopping in Vegas, went shopping on Memorial Day, went shopping last weekend in LA, and today... I went shopping again. I meant to stop shopping for awhile, but today just happened to be the first day of the Nordstrom Half-Yearly Sale. I can't miss that?!

I went during lunch with Emily and Melissa to the Nordys in Palo Alto. Overall the sale was a lil bit disapppointing. I can't wait until the Anniversary Sale in July! That's the best sale ever. There weren't too many shoes that I liked but I found a few cute things in BP. I got a white cotton shirt (has two buttons on the chest area), a green plain tank top with lacey straps, and a really brown cute knit sweater shirt. I like it a lot. :) All for about $50. Not too shabby. I think I need to go home and clean out my drawers. It seems like I do that a lot... at least once every three months. I buy way too much crap. Oh well.

I think I'm on caffeine overload right now. I took my One-A-Day Weight Smart vitamin which has caffeine in it and then I had a medium Ice Storm from the Nordys eBar. yikes. My brain is going a LITTLE crazy right now. Actually my brain is super tired... but my body is going a little psycho. *sigh

Pictures from my weekend!

So the weekend back in Arcadia was good-times. On Saturday, I got my new phone (which is awesome), got my hair did, walked around the mall with my little sister afterwards (we actually saw the aftermath of some weird accident, some asian teenage kid was lying on the ground in front of Foot Locker with blood all over the ground. I'm not sure what happened... but he was moving so he was alive but I was kinda freaked out), hung out at home with the family, had deeeelicious BBQ (again! third day in a row!), and watched Knocked Up which was HILARIOUS and gross.

Sunday I went to Target with Al (got the Gym Class Heroes CD, The Office Season 2 dvds, and a belt), ate lunch, went to Nordstrom Rack (bought big fake diamond earrings and a RVCA zip-up hoodie) and Best Buy with my mom, went over to David's house to say hi to David and Magus, hung out at home, packed up, went to LAX, barely made my flight, Ellen picked me up, got McD's for a super late dinner, and then bed time. Overall a semi-chill and very nice weekend.

And now... pictures! These are only pictures of Tracee's grad and this really cute kitty at my Aunt's house. :)

Tracee's Graduation - CSUN 2007

Back in Arcadia

It feels really nice to be home again after not visiting for a few months. Whenever I come home I remember how fruity this house smells. It's weird and pleasant. Anywhoo, so last night I flew into LAX at 10:30 where Susie and Chris picked me up. We headed over to Pink's Hotdogs and had deeeelicious chili cheese dogs after a arduous 45 minute wait. It was worth it. After Pink's Chris dropped me off at home and I pretty much passed out.

This morning I woke up around 9:15 am and started to do some laundry. I showered and got dressed/ready and headed out to the mall to get a mani/pedi before Tracee's graduation. About 5 minutes after I started my mani/pedi (where the manicurist, David, still remembered me even though I hadn't been there in 2 years) when Al texted me to let me know that she might be late to the graduation because her school was on lock down. LOCK DOWN!! I freaked out and after a few texts back 'n forth, found out that there was an anonymous call that there was a gun in the band room. So the SWAT team came and it turns out there was no gun and the call was a prank of some sort. *whew. I was pretty freaked out. But Al didn't seem too scared in her msgs, so I figured she was safe.

Anywhoo, my parents, Al and I left the house and picked up my Grandma in LA. Then we headed out to CSUN for Tracee's graduation. It was a SUPER long ceremony and I've never seen graduation ushers with such inflated egos ("Sorry, you can't reserve seats." ... "oh, well they'll be here in a few minutes." ... "if they're not here in 5 minutes, we're giving the seats away" ... "um, OK."). The ceremony itself was super long and mostly boring, but I did scream a lot when they called Tracee's name. I was also lucky enough to get a video clip on my camera of Tracee's name being called and me screaming. Sweet. After the graduation we went to dinner at this BBQ place called Quincy's in Encino. I love BBQ. Love it. I actually had this conversation with Brian on Thursday during lunch. So I gorged myself on baby back ribs because they're delicious and after dinner we headed over to LA to drop my Grandma off at home.

My aunt lives with my Grandma and is a self-described "Cat Lady." Seriously, my aunt has 14 cats living in the house right now. Four of them are kittens and are going to different homes soon, but right now there are 14... and even without the kittens, it's still 10. Yikes. Anyway, I wanted to play with the kitties even though I'm super allergic. There was this one little grey kitten named Buddy and he was probably the sweetest kitten ever. I held him for a long time and he swatted at my hair. Adorable! I have a lot of pictures because it's rare that I'll get that up close and personal with a cat. Actually I'm lying. Whenever I went to Rich's house I liked to pet his cat too... but I would usually never HOLD a cat. But yeah, I'm now paying for it. My nose is stuffed, I'm semi-coughing, and I have this awful rash on my neck that is going to be VERY ugly tomorrow. And possibly for the next few days.

Plans for tomorrow: Verizon store to get my new phone, get my hair did at 1:30 with Sara @ Regis, shop around a bit with Al (she needs a grad dress)... nothing-ness. Then I might go watch Knocked Up later at night. I'll see if my sisters want to go, but I'm going to go with Chris and Sooz. :) So far it's been a lovely trip back home. And I'll be back here again in two weeks. *sigh... I feel like some kind of important business person with all this travelling! But I'm not... I'm just crazy.

Oh!! More presents I've received since coming home:

Al - Cake Mania for the DS Lite (it's awesome)

Tracee - L'Occitane gift set (the verbena scent! mmm)

Mom/Dad - really pretty matching necklace and earring set

*I'll have pictures of the weekend when I get home
