Fat Tuesday

I have to start thinking of cooler names for my blog entries. Whatever. So! Tuesday. Nothing exciting has happened since Saturday. But here's an update anyway. Sunday, I woke up semi-early only to waste time online. I eventually got my ass out of bed and went to walk around the Serramonte Center in Daly City. That ghetto mall has a huge Forever 21 store! It's huge... and overwhelming. I was trying to look around but there was just so much STUFF. Anyway, I also looked at Victoria's Secret and Hollister and yet I bought NOTHING. Which is pretty amazing. After the mall stores, I went to Target and bought some essentials (cotton rounds, car freshner thing, milk, bread, cheese, yogurt etc etc etc). I didn't really make any fun purchases.

Yesterday was just another boring day. Had work and then hit the gym with Ty and Nirada. Ty really beat me up with all these damned abs exercises. Today I had to call a candidate in China at 8 am and it was kind of a waste of time. Maybe it was just a bad phone line (as I was calling from my laptop) but she didn't really understand what I was saying. I had to repeat everything a few times, which got annoying, and she seemed kind of out of it. Granted, it was 11 pm in Beijing when I called... but she was the one that suggested the time. You would think she would be awake prior to the phone call if she was anticipating it. Hm. Whatever. Michelle came to visit Emily and I for lunch, which was quite delicious! It's also her birthday, so Happy Birthday Michelle!

And now, it is 4:30 pm. I think Emily and I are going to go to the Great Mall of Milpitas which is a giant outlet shopping center (like Ontario Mills). So no gym for me today. Boo. But I'll go tomorrow!

And this is all for my crappy update.

Ah weekends

So! The picnic yesterday was quite fun! There was free food (hot dogs, appetizers, cotton candy, ice cream) and drinks (water, soda, beer, margaritas, frozen lemonade). YUM! Delightful. I ate a crap load of junk food. It was fab. Then there was the "American Idol" type competition which was pretty entertaining. I really liked the Indian guy with the long hair that sang a rock song... he screamed and everything. I was surprised and delighted.

After the picnic, I decided to just head home and relax. I ate my Cheesecake Factory leftovers and watched Robot Chicken until I passed out at around midnight. Wow, I'm an old lady. Saturday, I woke up around 9:30 am and just lounged around the house in my PJs. I got ready for Khanh's wedding and drove over to Ty's house at 2:30-ish pm. We drove down together to Los Gatos where the wedding was held at a vineyard. It was a beautiful ceremony (Khanh looked really pretty!!) and a great reception! For dinner there was a summer type salad with a raspberry vinagrette and the main course was either stuffed chicken (with olives and veggies inside) or a big chunk of beef (I'm not sure what type of cute it was) with gravy, cheese mashed potatoes, and asparagus. I got the chicken dish and it was really yummy.

And now I am back at home, in bed, watching Robot Chicken. Nice. Tomorrow don't really have any plans... Cheech is coming to the city so if she's free maybe we'll hang or somehing. Other than that, I have nothing much to do. I just want to relax mostly. My next few weekends are pretty packed: next weekend my friend Jenn is visiting, after that I'm going to Pismo, after that I'm going to a BBQ. Then I get one more free weekend after that and then it's Labor Day Weekend to drive to LA and then OFF TO EUROPE I go. How exciting! Wooo.

Okay, here are some picture slideshows for your viewing pleasure. :)

**EDIT: So I tried to post three slideshows altogether, but it was kinda overwhelming... so instead, just links to the albums.

Back in the USSR

Just kidding. USA. Not USSR. Isn't that a song or something though? Hm. Anyway, I am back in California. Mountain View to be exact. The last few days have been fun but tiring. Tuesday, I had the conference from 7:30 am until 6 pm and after I was so tired, I just ordered some Thai food takeout and bought a movie from this pretend Virgin Records type of store (Rat Race, it was only $6 Canadian... nice). It was nice to just relax and fall asleep watching tv in my really nice hotel room.

Wednesday, I woke up a bit later (around 8:45 am), got ready, and had breakfast at Denny's. I was tempted to just order room service, but I just couldn't justify spending $25 on the same food I could get at Denny's. Of course, I really should've just ordered room service because Canadian Denny's is HELLA expensive. Grand Slam breakfast was like $10.50... WTF! So it all ended up being $15 after tax and tip anyway. And it wasn't too delicious. Dammit, Denny's... After breakfast, I walked up and down Robson St... again. Because I didn't know where else to explore. Also, I only had like an hour before I had to get ready for the conference at 1 pm. So up and down Robson I went! I tried on lots of things at FCUK and Zara... and amazingly, I was able to walk away. FCUK had a really cute billow-y type shirt but it was ripped in some parts. Boo. And Zara had a cute grey cardigan, but it was ripped in the sleeve. What the eff. So the conference went on from 12:30 pm until 9 pm. But we left around 8:30-ish since no one was really paying attention to us. After, just went back to the hotel room, took a loverly bubble bath, watched tv, and fell asleep around midnight.

Thursday, woke up and packed... checked out of the hotel and headed to the conference for the last day! It was a pretty quiet day because most of the people have already talked to us. Packed up around 11:30 am and shared a cab to the airport with another exhibitor. Got an earlier flight that left around 2:30 pm, sat next to this giant man that had a stomach cramp and started freaking out at the end of the flight (weird and scary), and then supershuttle'd it back to my apt. After I got back I dropped off my junk and drove down to Palo Alto to have dinner with Cheech and Brian at Cheesecake Factory. After dinner, we walked around Border's and I was able to get Season 1 of Robot Chicken for like $20. SWEET.

Today, I've just been working and doing my "thing." What that "thing" is, I'm not sure. I did manage to call Sooz and have her order a few pairs of shoes for me from Nordstrom.com! Woooo. I got a pair of cute Michael by Michael Kors wedge polka dot red sandals and a pair of Jeffrey Campbell flat thong sandals (as shown above)! So cute. Also, I went to Target with Emily and bought a plain black tank top and a cute blue stripey short sleeve button down shirt. Wearing it makes me feel kind of like a cowgirl or something. Hm.

And now I am just waiting for Ellen to get here so we can go the company picnic! Weeee!

Christy Does Vancouver

Wait a minute... is that the name of a porn title? Just kidding, I already knew it was... I'm just a dirty old (wo)man. Anyway, I've arrived in Vancouver! It's actually very nice here. All the people are really friendly and nice! It's weird. So I woke up this morning around 8:45 (oops, I meant to wake up at 8), got ready, and was picked up by Super Shuttle at 9:45 am. I was pretty early to the airport, but whatever. Got an early lunch around 11 am from this Japanese place near my terminal (I got teriyaki salmon and it was decent). Boarded the plane a bit late and arrived safely at YVR (Vancouver Airport) at 3 pm. I was semi-lost since I had to go through customs and tell them why I was there. I was a bit lost, but made my way through. Also, I never realized how that Vancouver is HELLA HUMID. I was sweating. It was a bit gross.

Cabbed over to my hotel and arrived around 3:45 pm. I sat down, checked email, then put my flip flops on and began my Canadian shopping adventure! I forced myself to avoid all US stores that I can visit anytime I want. So instead I went to lots of Canadian stores. Although, they MIGHT be US stores and I just have no idea. But they all were brands I had never heard of. I got a really cute white shirt from this one store called RW & CO., a cute brown deep v-neck sweater from this store called Plenty, and then some MAC stuff. I never knew that MAC was from Canada. Hm. I got my usual brown eyeliner, a really cute peachy pink lushgloss (aka, lip gloss with lip plumper... although I think my lips are pretty fat already), and a dark brown eyeshadow. Very naice.

After I walked around the Vancouver Mall (Pacific Centre) and had dinner in the food court (Thai food... it was OK, not great). But I had this weird craving for Thai food. After dinner, I started walking back into the mall and realized it was all closed. CLOSED at 7:30 pm (the food court was closing as I was eating, but I thought they were just closing the food places). Apparently, the mall closes at 7 pm on Mondays and Tuesdays. Weird. Must be nice to work retail in Vancouver. Also, everything here is kinda expensive. After dinner I walked to the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Company and got a waffle cone with Rocky Road ice cream! So yummy. It was funny, I was waiting in line to pay and the cashier asked everyone if they wanted a sample chocolate. She asked me and I said, "umm... I think I've got enough here, thanks" and then all the line people laughed and the guy in front of me let me go ahead of him. YES. haha. That was weird. Anyway, now I'm watching Robot Chicken in my hotel room. I wish I called and made sure I would get one bed. Now I have two twin beds when I could've had one KING bed. Assholes. Whatever.

Tomorrow is the conference and I have to be there at 7:30 am. Unfortunately, I'm wide awake and the fact that it's still sunny outside is f'ing with my brain. I feel like Robin Williams in that movie Insomnia... but not crazy. Hm.

Oh yeah! Weekend updates... Friday: hung out with Cheech, Brian, and Ty. We ate Costco pizza and chicken wings, watched Pulse (which was terrible), Jackass 2 (which was hilarious), and The Office (which was awesome, of course). Fell asleep there, woke up on Saturday morning, went to Costco and bought HARRY POTTER, went to Target, went home, did a shit load of laundry, cleaned the house, and read read read. I actually read pretty much the rest of the day until about 4 am. Sunday, woke up and went to the Stonestown Mall, got my nails did, bought a cute hat and earrings from Nordy's, met up with Rebecca in Hayes Valley, walked around and chatted, went home and read Harry Potter. I actually finished the book last night (technically this morning) at 3 am. Which explains why I woke up a bit late today. I admit, I did cry a bit in the end of the book... but overall, it was a great ending to the series.

Tribute to Brian:

We'll miss you, Mother F'in Brian (aka Vlad, aka The Nintendo Godfather of Terror). Good luck with law school and don't forget about us cool people in CA. Don't worry, we'll come visit and harass you. That'll give you something to look forward to in the new year. Woooo. Take care, Brian... you dirty old man.

Thursday, July 19, 2007

Ahh updates.

So nothing exciting has been happening in my life. Which is quite on par. Hmm what have I been doing? Last Friday just went home, got Panda Express for dinner, and watched some FREE Comcast movies! It's awesome. If you have Comcast Cable, go to Channel 1! They have a bunch of random free movies. So I watched Starship Troopers. I wonder why I have a weird fascination with space/alien movies. Very weird. Anyway, I went to bed around 1 AM and it was a very chill Friday night.

Saturday, woke up around 11 and went to the Stonestown Mall (which apparently is my second home) and had lunch at the Nordy's cafe, got an Anniversary catalog (which was a bit disappointing, I hope the actual sale is better), walked around and wasted my time, and finally found a cute plain black clubbing type shirt at H&M. After, I just hung out around the house, watched another free movie (Ernest Goes to School... wow, it was awful. *duh) made myself dinner, got ready for Mr. Smith's, and headed out to pick up Andrew and company around 10 pm (company = Cheryl, Ruth, Arty, Grace). Mr. Smith's was OK... I had more fun the last time I went, but it was still a pretty interesting night. It was good to see Shelly again, even if she was pretty wasted and I didn't get a chance to really chat with her. And hey, I left the house. So I'm pretty proud of myself.

Sunday, I went to GG Park to meet up with Zzipper, Jen, Ashley, and company for a little BBQ. It was a lot of fun! I'm glad I got to spend time with all of them, even though it was terribly terribly cold. I also go to see Ashley's new little baby and he is ADORABLE. Cutest baby ever. He smiled in his sleep!! After the BBQ I just hung out at home and watched TV; third free movie of the weekend - Benny & Joon. I've actually never seen this before and I really enjoyed it.

Monday, just had work and went home. No biggie. I was craving chicken tikka masala, so I drove to Mehfil and had a DELIGHTFUL dinner! Yum. Tuesday, was a bit more exciting. I went to work, did some work, left to run errands around 11 am with Brian, Ty, and Emily (got gas, got a key made, bought shave gel, ate at McD's), and after our errands met up with the rest of my coworkers at Malibu Grand Prix!!! Woooo. That was a LOT of fun. We rode the little go-karts which was awesome (I'm a pretty good go-kart'er), played in the batting cages, and did a bit of mini golf. Around 4 pm, the team left for Gordon Biersch in Palo Alto for food and drinks. We were there for about 2 1/2 hours and had tons of FOOD and fun. After Gordon Biersch, we headed to the Blue Bonnet in Sunnyvale for some dive-bar-fun and karaoke! Unfortunately, they didn't have karaoke on Tuesday nights, so we headed a few miles away to the Quarter Note. They had a pretty serious stage for karaoke, and there weren't that many people there. So we all sang a few songs, dance around on stage, and had fun. I eventually left around 9:30 pm because my sister and her bf were coming to visit (Tracee has an interview with a community college in the east bay!).

My sister and her bf, Jeremy, arrived at about 11 pm. I spent some time with them before heading to bed at 1 am. Wednesday, went to work a bit late, had a normal work day, Tracee and Jeremy came to visit me at work for lunch, after her first interview. After lunch they explored around the SJ area when she got a call for a second interview (yay! congratulations!). So they drove back to work, picked me up, and we headed back to SF. We just hung around the house for the rest of the day and didn't do very much (ate leftovers for dinner, watched The Office Season 2).

And today... well it's pretty much just started. So nothing new to report yet. Tomorrow is the start of the Anniversary Sale and I will be at the Palo Alto Nordy's at 7:30-ish am with Emily, Cheech, and Michelle. YES! I heart shopping... actually, more like I'm obsessed with it. How delightful.

Christy is going to Vancouver

Yes yes. I am going to Vancouver! I'm actually really excited but kind of scared. I'll be the only person from my team going for a three day conference. There'll be two other people going (one from the WA office and one from the CO office)... but no one that I really know. But anyway, it should be exciting. I'm staying at the Sutton Place Hotel which is only ONE block away from some great shopping (according to Emily). I'm QUITE excited. I've booked my plane and hotel and am all ready to go! Kind of crazy, got to my desk this morning around 9:20 am, saw an email saying something about a conference in Vancouver, and apparently my boss volunteered me up to go. I'll be leaving on Monday, July 23 and coming back Thursday, July 26. Wee!!

What else has been happening... hmmm.

Monday - work, gym, home

Tuesday - work, happy hour (that lasted like three hours), home, HARRY POTTER: ORDER OF THE PHOENIX! The movie was disappointing but perhaps I'm just way too much of an obsessed Harry Potter fan. Hm. It wasn't quite worth watching at midnight on a weeknight, but whatever.

Wednesday - work, home

Thursday - work, home, comedy show at the Cobb Comedy Club! It was really really fun. The first guy was some local comedian and he was pretty funny. Then Anjelah Johnson came on and was totally adorable and funny. The headlining comedian was Tom Rhodes. I've actually never heard of him until the show, but he turned out to be super duper funny. He was completely random and said some really funny crap. For example, he talked about how boring the new Pope is and how Oprah should be the pope... Poprah. Hilarious. Another funny line:

"I wish I was black... 'Once you go black, you never go back'... White people never have cool sayings... 'Once you go white, you might get a Sprite'... no one's going to f**k you for a Sprite."

So funny. He had a pretty dirty mouth but he was hilarious. Unlike Norm McDonald. If you guys are free, the show is playing all weekend and only costs like $5. The venue was really nice and big. We sat all the way in the back but at a tall table so we were able to see over everyones' heads.

Hiilarious. Very very funny and definitely worth $5! Today has been a very slow day. I spent all morning trying to find out where to stay for the conference since the hotel where the conference is held was packed. Then I had to figure out travel and such. Ai yi yi. Lots of organization. Actually not too much organization. Just a bit time consuming.

Plans for the weekend? Saturday night going to Mr. Smith's with Shelly and company. Tomorrow I think I'm just going to just relax at home. Sunday I'm going to GG Park for a bbq with Ashley, Adam, Zzipper, and company. Should be tons of fun! I can't wait to see them all and to see Ashley's tiny baby. He must be adorable.

Christy is moving back to LA... eventually.

Yes yes the title is true. Or at least, I guess it might be? I figured if I don't get converted for work, I'll be out of a job by middle of November. Which happens to be perfect timing for the holidays. I figured since I'll be home for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Christmas vacation I might as well be home for awhile. So I think the plan right now, is that after my contract is up on November 12 or so, I'll pack up all of my belongings (clothes, books, tv, etc.) and head home.

Does it suck moving back to your parent's house? Yes. A bit. But hey at least it'll be free rent. I'll save $2500+ by not paying rent for three months. Also, it'll be fun to be home again to hang out with Sooz and my family. And when mid February comes around, my three month break will be over and I can come back to work for another 12 month contract. I'm not counting 100% that I'll be able to come back, but I reaaaaally hope I can. And when I do move back, it'll be somewhere within Silicon Valley... because long commutes bother me.

The only sad part is that Ellen and I won't be roomies anymore. Boooo. But it's okay, if I move back to NorCal I'll still be harassing her whenever I can... because that's what friends do. Susie, if I move back to NorCal, you should totally move with me. heehee!

One great thing about moving home, is that I'll be able to save up money for this baby (but perhaps a convertible!):

Anywhoo, what did I do this weekend. Ah yes, my family came to visit! But by family, I mean my parents and my Aunt and Uncle. So Friday was just regular ol' work, until about 3:30 pm. My Aunt and Uncle came by to visit. I gave them a tour and some yummy food and they hung around for awhile. Then my parents arrived at my work to visit too! But they've been there already so we just hit the road to SF. My parents dropped me off at my apt around 5:30 pm, I packed, and then took a nap. Then around 7:30 my parents and Aunt & Uncle came by my apt to look around. Then we headed out to the Wharf for Boudin's. Yum! Bread bowl clam chowdah. After dinner we kinda walked around the Wharf, but it was really windy and chilly. I went back to my parent's hotel room (they stayed at the Royal Pacific in Chinatown!) and I was pleasantly surprised. It was a fairly decent hotel with FREE parking. Very unheard of.

Saturday, went to eat dim sum at the usual place on Pacific. After dim sum, we walked around Chinatown and looked at lots of random stores. My mom was on a mission to find these cheap little jewelry boxes so she can give them away as gifts to her friends. My Aunt & Uncle had to leave because they were going to some Harley Davidson biker festival thingy down in Hollister, CA. My parents and I took a nap at the hotel for awhile... well actually only my Dad and I did, then we drove out to Fairfield to go to the Jelly Belly Factory! It was actually a pretty fun and interesting tour. We got there JUST in the nick of time for the last free tour and then had like 10 minutes to buy junk after the tour before the factory closed. Sweet! I got my own little bag of chocolate gummy bears, toasted marshmallow jelly beans, and tutti fruiti jelly beans. YUM! I also got a bag of the knock off M&Ms that Jelly Belly makes... except they have different flavors like cappuccino, etc.

After the Jelly Belly factory, we headed to Vacaville to go to the loverly Premium Outlet stores. I bought a really cute brown leather Coach bag for $150, a cute brown dress and brown sweats from the Gap outlet for $30 and $10. Everything I bought was brown. Weird. Then after shopping, we went to the Wharf, again, for Nonna Rose's! YUM!. That means CRAB. Delicious, delicious, DELICIOUS crab. After dinner we drove down Lombard St. and then just retreated back to the hotel.

This morning, we woke up around 9-ish and had breakfast at this Chinese cafe that was right next to the hotel. It was surprisingly good for $5. Hmm. Then after breakfast, my parents dropped me off at my apt, we all bid our farewells, and they were off to LA! Ellen and I went to Target and the Korean market in Daly City after. I got a few things like a cute sweater from Target, car freshener, etc. And I got some honey twist crackers from the market and MORE of these delicious lime juice thingys.

So all in all, it's been a good weekend with LOTS of family quality time. My parents are awesome.

Boys Don't Cry

Ellen and I just watched Boys Don't Cry. Well, Ellen watched most of it. It's the type of movie that depresses me. I already know that the main character gets shot and dies an unjust death... why would I want to watch it? I think I've seen most of it before anyway. Very very depressing.

Anyway, on to movies that I think are delightful. TRANSFORMERS! Seriously... Sooz! You should totally watch it. It's really funny and entertaining. I think I'm in love with the main character, Shia LaBeouf. Is it gross that he's 21? I mean, I've only just turned 24. Man, I'm a pedophile. *sigh. Anywhoo, the movie was very very good. Lots of exciting visuals and really funny lines. If I got a dog, his name would be Optimus Prime! Ok, probably not. But that would be a kickass name for a dog. Also, I liked the transformer, Bumblebee! Such a cute name for a giant robot thing. My coworker, Dan, told me that Bumblebee is the crappiest of the transformers. In the cartoon, Bumblebee is actually a VW Bug. But in the movie they made him this kick ass yellow mustang. Or whatever that car was. It was awesome. I don't care if Bumblebee was a loser in the cartoon, he's the BEST in the movie! Heehee. So cool.

Anyway. What the hell have I been doing. After Transformers on Tuesday night, went to TGIF with the gang and had drinks and appetizers. I was super tired and didn't want to drink so I decided to just order Strawberry Lemonade which was quite delicious. After TGIF, Ellen and I went to the Kwik-E-Mart. Eventually we made it home around 3 am and got some McD's. Yum! I got a McFlurry with oreos.

Wednesday, 4th of July, woke up around 11:30 am and just lounged around for a bit. Finally took a shower and headed toward the Stonestown mall with Ellen. I picked up my two pair of se7en jeans that I had altered/fixed. The pair that I ripped a giant hole in the ass has been fixed, although the pair is looking pretty shabby. They did a good job on my new boycut pair, but they used BLACK thread instead of the gold thread. I even asked the guy to do use the same color thread and he said he would. Yeesh. Whatever. The jeans still look cute. :) After we walked around the mall, we headed to the market to pick up cajun sausages and buns. We watched The Goonies, cooked some sausages, watched tv, and I eventually passed out around 11. Overall it was a SUPER chill holiday... how crazy can you get on a Wednesday holiday when you have to be at work the next day. Boooring.

Today was just the same ol' same ol'. I ended up driving to work because it was street cleaning and I was too lazy to move my car then take the bus. Luckily, no one decided to go to work and I was able to drive myself all the way to work in about 45 minutes (which almost never happens). At 2:30 pm Emily, Cheech, Melissa, and I got our nails done at Capri Nail Spa. Just a pedicure. It was very nice. I always paint my nails pink... or some variant of pink. I should really try something new... but why? Pink is so cute.

Now I'm tired... I guess I'll go to sleep. I have nothing else to do.

Updates and a Random Story

Ahh weekly updates for my fabulous fan base. And when I say "fan base," what I mean is my small group of friends who actually are interested in my boring life. Ok... so what the hell did I do in the last few days?

Friday - work, went out to Ano Nuevo with my coworkers, saw giant Elephant Seals (that I kept calling Sea Elephants... which just confused everyone), hiked for way too many miles (actually it was more like 5), then after we got back to MTV went to St. Stephen's Green which is a bar on Castro St. in downtown MTV. It's funny how it's called "Downtown" since it's really just like three blocks. Kind of like "Downtown Arcadia" is just First Avenue near the middle school, and really only has like four legitimate business. One place used to be a whorehouse back in middle school. Nice. Anyway, we stayed at St. Stephen's Green for about five hours and then I headed back to SF. No seriously, FIVE hours. I'm not even exaggerating. We were there from 5:00 pm till 10:00 pm. The tab was like $275.

Saturday - woke up early, got my car's oil changed, had breakfast at Brain Wash (yum! basic breakfast: sourdough toast, 2 eggs over-medium, and country potatoes!... actually I can get the same breakfast at work but minus the delicious sourdough). After breakfast I was bored and headed to Nordstrom Rack to kill some time. Unfortunately for me, I found a few great things! I got a pair of cute tortoiseshell sunglasses, a cute pair of cream colored Diesel sneakers, and a cute pair of Nike running shoes (grey/pink/white)! yay! All for about $120. Not too shabby. After the Rack I went home and watched Super Troopers. For the fourth time this week. Sad. Anyway, it's hilarious. Then I took a lil nap, talked to Sooz on the phone for like 10 minutes (sorry I was so out of it! I was so tired for some reason), napped some more. Then Ellen and Phill came home, we lounged, and then picked up delicious Indian food from Mefil! CHICKEN TIKKA MASALA with NAAAAAN. Sorry, I'm on crack. But that's how the guys at the restaurant yell it to the kitchen when you order it. After dinner, Ellen and Phill basically succumbed to food coma and I decided to retreat to my room to watch Spongebob dvds.

Sunday - woke up around 10 am, did FOUR loads of laundry (holy crap), then went to Jamba Juice with Ellen. After Jamba, we picked up Bo and headed to Target and 99 Ranch where I bought many things (of course). From Target I got a mini bbq *wee* for the apt, a new pop up hamper since I ripped my other one, InTouch magazine, gum, pancake syrup, The Goonies dvd, and the Family Guy Volume 3 dvd set. SWEET. At 99 Ranch I bought goodies such as instant udon, instant curry, napa cabbage, onion pancake thingy, and this REALLY yummy lime juice stuff. After the market, we headed home and I just made myself some udon with cabbage and eventually fell asleep around 10 pm watching Family Guy.

Monday - work, gym, home, TV, sleep.

Today - work, visit the local Kwik-E-Mart, DDR, and now I'm waiting for Ellen to pick me up so we can go watch Transformers!!!! Woohoo! I am in love with Shia LeBouf or however you spell his name. He's adorable. Vanity Fair, or some other magazine, is calling him the Next Tom Hanks. Which I think might be a stretch, but only time will tell.

On a side-note, I wonder why they decided to make Mountain View's 7-11 into a Kwik-E-Mart out of all the locations in the US. Seriously, Mountain View? Very interesting! Anyway, here's a picture of me and Homer. Weee!!

Also, today I received my Alloy shipment. Everything was super cute except the red sweater with elbow patches. It was hideous. So hideous I can't keep it. I just can't put it into my closet. It repulses me. Brian tried it on, which made me hate it more because it looked so ridiculous. Although it was QUITE funny.

Random Funny Story:

So I was just sitting on the shuttle last night, thinking about random things when I started to think about snoring. I almost always fall asleep on the shuttle and I'm pretty sure I snore about 50% of the time. Which is embarrassing, because probably no one would wake me up and TELL me if I was snoring (which would also be embarrassing). Anyway, so... snoring. I was thinking about if those nose strip things actually work to help prevent snoring. Then I thought about my Eurotrip in September with my sister, and if I should buy some to save her the agony of sleeping in the same room with me for 2+ weeks with my snoring. THEN, I started thinking about when I used to stay at her apt she shared with her roommate Joy in Sherman Oaks.

Tracee and I used to share her queen sized bed because I had a REALLY early class on Wednesday mornings, and since I commuted my last two quarters, I would hang out with her on Tuesday nights and she would drive me to UCLA Wednesday mornings (THANKS TREY! I really appreciated it). So the first night I slept over at Tracee's, I was a little freaked because I don't really like sleeping in a new/strange place (shut up, Brian... you dirty old man). But it was cool, it was just my sister... no biggie. I eventually fall asleep, only to be awaken at 1 am with my older sister trying to SPOON with me. Wow. FREAKED THE HELL OUT OF ME. She casually slung her arm over my side... while I lay there, frozen in horror. HORROR. I gingerly moved her arm and inched closer to the edge of the bed... hopefully out of arm's reach. After lying awake for another 10 minutes, I fell asleep again. Only to be awaken at 2 am with my sister AGAIN trying to spoon with me. This time not only was I freaked out, but I was annoyed and tired of being constantly woken up. So I picked up her arm and threw it back over. And she didn't even wake up through this entire, horrific ordeal.

All in all, it was not a good experience the first night sleeping at my sister's place. Although, it was QUITE hilarious. She kept laughing when I told her about it in the morning.

This was a long post.
