Ahh weekly updates for my fabulous fan base. And when I say "fan base," what I mean is my small group of friends who actually are interested in my boring life. Ok... so what the hell did I do in the last few days?
Friday - work, went out to Ano Nuevo with my coworkers, saw giant Elephant Seals (that I kept calling Sea Elephants... which just confused everyone), hiked for way too many miles (actually it was more like 5), then after we got back to MTV went to St. Stephen's Green which is a bar on Castro St. in downtown MTV. It's funny how it's called "Downtown" since it's really just like three blocks. Kind of like "Downtown Arcadia" is just First Avenue near the middle school, and really only has like four legitimate business. One place used to be a whorehouse back in middle school. Nice. Anyway, we stayed at St. Stephen's Green for about five hours and then I headed back to SF. No seriously, FIVE hours. I'm not even exaggerating. We were there from 5:00 pm till 10:00 pm. The tab was like $275.
Saturday - woke up early, got my car's oil changed, had breakfast at Brain Wash (yum! basic breakfast: sourdough toast, 2 eggs over-medium, and country potatoes!... actually I can get the same breakfast at work but minus the delicious sourdough). After breakfast I was bored and headed to Nordstrom Rack to kill some time. Unfortunately for me, I found a few great things! I got a pair of cute tortoiseshell sunglasses, a cute pair of cream colored Diesel sneakers, and a cute pair of Nike running shoes (grey/pink/white)! yay! All for about $120. Not too shabby. After the Rack I went home and watched Super Troopers. For the fourth time this week. Sad. Anyway, it's hilarious. Then I took a lil nap, talked to Sooz on the phone for like 10 minutes (sorry I was so out of it! I was so tired for some reason), napped some more. Then Ellen and Phill came home, we lounged, and then picked up delicious Indian food from Mefil! CHICKEN TIKKA MASALA with NAAAAAN. Sorry, I'm on crack. But that's how the guys at the restaurant yell it to the kitchen when you order it. After dinner, Ellen and Phill basically succumbed to food coma and I decided to retreat to my room to watch Spongebob dvds.
Sunday - woke up around 10 am, did FOUR loads of laundry (holy crap), then went to Jamba Juice with Ellen. After Jamba, we picked up Bo and headed to Target and 99 Ranch where I bought many things (of course). From Target I got a mini bbq *wee* for the apt, a new pop up hamper since I ripped my other one, InTouch magazine, gum, pancake syrup, The Goonies dvd, and the Family Guy Volume 3 dvd set. SWEET. At 99 Ranch I bought goodies such as instant udon, instant curry, napa cabbage, onion pancake thingy, and this REALLY yummy lime juice stuff. After the market, we headed home and I just made myself some udon with cabbage and eventually fell asleep around 10 pm watching Family Guy.
Monday - work, gym, home, TV, sleep.
Today - work, visit the local Kwik-E-Mart, DDR, and now I'm waiting for Ellen to pick me up so we can go watch Transformers!!!! Woohoo! I am in love with Shia LeBouf or however you spell his name. He's adorable. Vanity Fair, or some other magazine, is calling him the Next Tom Hanks. Which I think might be a stretch, but only time will tell.
On a side-note, I wonder why they decided to make Mountain View's 7-11 into a Kwik-E-Mart out of all the locations in the US. Seriously, Mountain View? Very interesting! Anyway, here's a picture of me and Homer. Weee!!
Also, today I received my Alloy shipment. Everything was super cute except the red sweater with elbow patches. It was hideous. So hideous I can't keep it. I just can't put it into my closet. It repulses me. Brian tried it on, which made me hate it more because it looked so ridiculous. Although it was QUITE funny.
Random Funny Story:
So I was just sitting on the shuttle last night, thinking about random things when I started to think about snoring. I almost always fall asleep on the shuttle and I'm pretty sure I snore about 50% of the time. Which is embarrassing, because probably no one would wake me up and TELL me if I was snoring (which would also be embarrassing). Anyway, so... snoring. I was thinking about if those nose strip things actually work to help prevent snoring. Then I thought about my Eurotrip in September with my sister, and if I should buy some to save her the agony of sleeping in the same room with me for 2+ weeks with my snoring. THEN, I started thinking about when I used to stay at her apt she shared with her roommate Joy in Sherman Oaks.
Tracee and I used to share her queen sized bed because I had a REALLY early class on Wednesday mornings, and since I commuted my last two quarters, I would hang out with her on Tuesday nights and she would drive me to UCLA Wednesday mornings (THANKS TREY! I really appreciated it). So the first night I slept over at Tracee's, I was a little freaked because I don't really like sleeping in a new/strange place (shut up, Brian... you dirty old man). But it was cool, it was just my sister... no biggie. I eventually fall asleep, only to be awaken at 1 am with my older sister trying to SPOON with me. Wow. FREAKED THE HELL OUT OF ME. She casually slung her arm over my side... while I lay there, frozen in horror. HORROR. I gingerly moved her arm and inched closer to the edge of the bed... hopefully out of arm's reach. After lying awake for another 10 minutes, I fell asleep again. Only to be awaken at 2 am with my sister AGAIN trying to spoon with me. This time not only was I freaked out, but I was annoyed and tired of being constantly woken up. So I picked up her arm and threw it back over. And she didn't even wake up through this entire, horrific ordeal.
All in all, it was not a good experience the first night sleeping at my sister's place. Although, it was QUITE hilarious. She kept laughing when I told her about it in the morning.
This was a long post.
