No Cancer

YES! I went to the docs this morning and I do not have skin cancer. I had this weird skin discoloration on my left ankle and a few weird looking moles. So after reading an illuminating article in Shape magazine about this lady's best friend who died of skin cancer when she was 28 really freaked me out. Thankfully, I went to the doc today and she said it's just skin discoloration. I remember scraping myself really badly while shaving in that area of my ankle so it's just my skin healing weird and being ugly and discolored. So yeah, I guess I'm healthy-ish. My doc also checked all my other moles on my arms, chest, and face and she said they all look healthy and normal. I just have tons of moles because of a combo of genetics and sun exposure. Thanks Mom and Dad. hehe. But yeah, this did scare me for awhile. I'm going to be more careful about lying in the sun or not wearing sunscreen. But since I don't have cancer, I feel like I have reason to celebrate. Woo. I wonder what I should eat for lunch... McD's? Man I'm so gross... I can eat McD's like three times a week. Of course my heart hurts for a few days after, but whatever.

So what the hell have I been doing all week? Hmm.

Monday - work, McD's, watch tv

Tuesday - work, Nordstrom Rack with Emily, home

Wednesday - work, dinner with Ellen and Lawrence, home

Thursday - work, shopping with Emily again at the Palo Alto mall (she needed a swimsuit, I wanted to walk around... she ended up getting a cute one piece and I got a really cute navy halter top from Bloomingdales. They did this pre-sale thing so we have to go back next Wednesday and pick up our purchases for like 65% off!! Woooo), dinner at Namu with Bo, Thuy, Oranuj, Jen, Ellen, and Ben

Sidenote: Namu was a huge DISAPPOINTMENT. It was hella pricey and only a few dishes were yummy. We had a semi large group for dinner so we just did a fixed menu. We got a little dish of kimchee (which was YUMMY), caesar salad (also yummy), vegetable tempura (yummy, chicken wings (yummy), broccolini with garlic (semi-yummy), grilled okra (GROSS! blech, I don't know if okra is supposed to gross anyway but it was all mushy inside. BLEH... okay, moving on... we had skirt steak which was SUPER rare but it was ok, and scallops which were GROSS! Ah the scallops were terrible. I've never had such a terribly cooked scallop. And each person only got ONE scallop. They were burnt and not tasty at all. Yikes. So I guess the first few dishes were pretty good, but the last few were disappointing. Also, this place charged $2 for one bowl of rice, and $4 for an extra little bowl of kimchee. YEESH. Terrible.

And today, I'm working from home since I had my doc appt earlier this morning. I'll probably go get McD's for lunch... or maybe just make something in a bit. Weekend plans? Tomorrow dinner and SIP Lounge (Ellen, Phill, Charlie, Andy, Jas, etc etc etc) for Louis who's back in town from law school and for Thuy's birthday. Today I am just going to relax at home and hang out. Well... and work. Of course.
