Woooo. Just watched The Simpsons movie and it was pretty damn great. I had high hopes for the movie and was scared that it would fall painfully short from my expectations, and thankfully it was GREAT. It was sweet and so sooo funny. Awesome. I love The Simpsons. Too bad the newer episodes suck ass.
Jenn visited from LA this weekend and it's been great! Actually she's still here, Ellen and Jenn are watching Miami Ink right now. This show makes me want to get another tattoo. But there's nothing else I'd really get tattooed forever on my body. Also, there's nowhere else on my body that I'd get tattooed. Hmm.
Friday after work, I had dinner with Ellen at Fresh Choice (which is a crappy version of Souplantation). Okay, I just looked up Souplantations, and there's one in Sunnyvale. Thank God. I will totally eat there one of these days. Anyway, after dinner we drove to SFO to pick up Jenn. After we took her to our apt and we dropped off her luggage we went to Baghdad Cafe in the Castro. I got a piece of chocolate cheesecake. Oh man was it delicious. With a glass of milk it was perfect.
Saturday, we woke up around 10 am and left the house to walk around Haight St. We had brunch at Squat & Gobble. It was yummy! I just got a basic omelette and fresh squeezed OJ! Yum. Then we walked up and down Haight Street, ending up at Amoeba Records. I found all sorts of fun CHEAP ass things. I got the movies: Bedazzled, The Truth About Cats & Dogs, and Airheads. Two Brendan Fraiser movies? Oh well, they were only $2.99 each. It was worth it. I also bought the old Local H cd and the Proclaimers cd (both $1.99). I love cheap things. ESPECIALLY cheap dvds. I probably own like 150 dvds. Yikes. After the Haight, we drove over the Golden Gate Bridge and looked around. It was beautiful but really really foggy and windy. After we walked around Union Square a little bit to shop. I ended up buying headbands & a plain white tank top from H&M and then three pairs of cute underpants from Urban. We went home, rested up, then had dinner at The House in North Beach for a late dinner at 10 pm. After dinner, from which we were STUFFED with super delicious food, we went to the Mission and hung out at Beauty Bar and then some other bar in the Mission. It was fun to get dressed up and go out. I ever wore HEELS (my newish KC Reaction wedges I got from the Great Mall). I got semi-drunk off one beer, then we came home and abused SingShot.com for awhile. I have a great recording of Ellen singing Etta James's "At Last."
Today, we woke up pretty late, around 11:30 am and got ready to leave for DIM SUM. Mmmmm I love dim sum. We headed out to Chinatown around 1:30 pm, I dropped of my Joe's Jeans that I got at the Anniversary Sale to be hemmed and then yum yum dim sum time. For some reason, I couldn't eat as much as normal... but oh well. Maybe that's for the best. Then I had to buy my little Pooh key chain collectible thingys and got a CUTE Pooh in a pineapple suit. I have issues. Anyway, after Chinatown we went to The Wharf and walked around a little bit. Jenn and Phill and Ellen got breadbowl clam chowder and I got an ice cream cone. Yum! Then we were tired, so we just went home, watched tv, and took naps. GREAT. I love naps. Then we, the girls, went to KFC for dinner (I haven't had KFC since like high school. The chicken is only decent, the sides are pretty damn good). After dinner we went to the AMC on Van Ness and watched THE SIMPSONS. Which is where I started this post. So on that note, I'm going to try to go to bed. I'm going to work from home tomorrow while Jenn vegetates in front of the TV, then I'll head to Chinatown to pick up my jeans, and then dinner and the airport for me and Jenn.
