Bikini waxes...

aren't that bad actually! I was pretty scared at first, but the waxing lady was so nice and gentle it wasn't bad at all! Cheech and I left work around 5 pm, grabbed some starbucks (and took some extra strength tylenol), and headed over to NTT Skin in Palo Alto. We kinda got lost on the way but luckily Cheech called Stef and we found the spa.

I went first because I wasn't freaking out as much as Cheech and the lady, Nellie, did my eyebrows and lip first. She was super meticulous and it took a lil longer than I'm normally used to. But she did a really great job on my eyebrows. One thing I didn't like was she kinda burned my lip, so I have this little scab thingy which sucks, but it should go away in a few days. Then came the uncomfortable part... so I won't go into detail too much, but it was pretty awkward being on that table. But Nellie was still very nice and professional so she didn't make it any worse than it had to be. I wanted to "go big or go home" but instead decided on just a regular bikini wax. Overall it was pretty awesome... I would go back eventually. And the prices were VERY reasonable. Eyebrows $15, lip $10, and bikini $35... so it all added up to $60!! Freaking awesome. The lady that does my eyebrows at Stonestown mall charges just as much for an eyebrow/lip wax. She does a great job also, but I don't feel like she's as meticulous as Nellie. I think I've found a new waxing lady. AWESOME.

Anyway, so after the waxing experience, Cheech and I headed back to work so she can grab her stuff (also her friend Christina was meeting us there). We sat around for a bit, then headed to Lucy's house for her graduation party (I guess she graduated in Winter, but walked yesterday). We stopped at Safeway first to grab a bottle of champagne then went to Lucy's house in San Jose. Her family had awesome food for dinner, which was delightful since we were starving... I'm kinda getting hungry just thinking about it now. Anyway, we ate dinner, ate some cake, hung around for a bit, then left at about 10 pm. Cheech and Christina went to hang out around downtown Mt. View, but I decided to drive home. When I got home, I watched some tv, and finished my book Faking It by Jennifer Crusie. Great girlie books!

And now I am still in bed... even though I've slept for around 10 hours. I actually woke up today at like 8 am and freaked out thinking that I was late for work. Then I realized it was Saturday and fell blissfully back to sleep. Sweet. I think I might head to Union Square for a bit of shopping. I need to hit up a few stores... actually I really only need to go to ONE store (Tiffany & Co.) but I'll probably end up going to like 10 different stores. At least. Today feels like a nice relaxing shopping adventure.

Update @ 10 PM:

So I ended up going to Union Square to entertain myself. I returned a dress at Urban, had a delicious clam chowder bread bowl for lunch from Boudin's, then hit up Tiffany & Co. Tiffany was pretty intimidating. It's this ginormous building right next to Union Square. I walked around kind of lost for awhile then this really nice lady helped me with the necklaces I had decided on for my gifts. I didn't realize that it would take so long to get things engraved but the two necklaces will be ready by the time I go home for Tracee's graduation. I had to get my necklace lengthened because my damn neck is too fat. So mine won't be ready until after June.

After Tiffany I hit up this little store called Halo that is VERY forever 21-esque and cheap. I got myself a really cute brown polka dot headband. After I kind of wandered around and met up with Ellen and Phill who were having lunch at the Nordstrom Cafe Bistro. After they ate, we walked around the mall (we went to J.Crew and I tried on a few dresses and they all kinda looked weird) and then hit up Urban. I ended up buying this quilt that I've liked for awhile (picture below!) and then we headed back home. Oh yeah! Also, we stopped at Jamba Juice and there was this CRAZY asian lady!! She had this metal spoon and she was walking around Phill's car with it saying, "I need to see your license and registration please. And your insurance." This lady was freaking crazy. It was pretty funny. Phill was like ,"Uh... please get away from my car... please."
And now I'm just sitting on the couch watching Sweet Home Alabama on a Saturday night. I was going to go out to the Mission with Andrew for Henry's bday, but now I am lazy. Woohoo laziness! Tomorrow: manicure, pedicure, random shopping at Stonestown.
