Lazy Sundays, Take Two

Ahhh another Sunday to sit on the futon and watch TV. So far I've played my DS lite, ate some Panda Express, and am now perusing the Target and Best Buy Sunday weekly ads. Yesterday was quite busy, so I'm happy to sit around today and relax. Recap time...

Friday - work, happy hour at work, home, TV

Saturday - woke up at 7 am, picked up Emily, went to the International Career Fair at Hotel Nikko, worked until about 1:30, went home to change, then hit the Stonestown Mall so I can find some presents for Ellen! I bought her a few cute/fun/useful things and also bought a new shirt and necklace for myself! When I got home, I gave Ellen one of the presents (a cute black top from Express that is open in the back and ties with a ribbon at top! It's pretty cute. :)

Then I got ready to go out and tricked Ellen into thinking I was going to dinner with someone else. Then I rushed to the restaurant, Velvet Cantina, so I can wait for people to arrive for Ellen's surprise Bday dinner. Everyone got there between 7:30-8 PM, and Ellen arrived at about 8:15 PM. She was so surprised! There were like 20 people at dinner waiting for her. It was fun and the food was alright... not too shabby.

After dinner we headed out to Mr. Smith's, a bar/club, in SoMa. It was a pretty nice place and the music was pretty fun. The DJ mixed really random songs together... like hip hop with weird oldies glam-rock songs. So we danced and drank (well I didn't really drink, except for a birthday shot of vodka at the end of the night) and headed home around 1:30 am.

Today - so far not much, but I think later Ellen and I will hit up Target for some camping supplies for next weekend's rafting adventure.

Things I've Bought This Weekend:

Ellen's presents - I bought four things in total, but have only given her one so far (the black shirt from Express)

Express - a black shirt for myself ($39), necklace ($25)

Target - water shoes (!), sunblock, facewash, a few canned soups, Morning Star chik'n nuggets, gum

TGIF Bitches

Thank goodness it's finally Friday. The week seemed to go by pretty fast, but this also might be hindsight since today is the last day of the work week. Well! Let's recap the week... well, since Tuesday. Wednesday I had meetings/trainings all day so I didn't really get a chance to sit at my desk (aka go online and chat, read blogs, etc.). Yesterday wasn't too exciting... just work and the gym. *Sigh the gym. The gym everyday. I'm getting pretty tired but I want to see some freaking results. Bleh.

One thing I've been semi-good about is cutting back on food. Okay, not really but BREAKFAST food. Usually I like to eat a huge breakfast (bagel or scrambled eggs with potatoes and a english muffin) but for the last three days I've only had cereal. I actually feel a lot better when I have a lighter breakfast because then I'm actually HUNGRY when it's lunch time. When I have a big breakfast, I'm not hungry at lunch time, but I still eat a lot because it's lunch time and my brain tells me to. So yes, *yay for healthier breakfasts!! Today I had Smart Start cereal then a banana and then some Jasmine tea with honey. I feel very nice about myself right now. But that will change once I either A. weigh myself or B. measure my body fat (which I think I'll have to do today, but do I really want to know if I'm 45% body fat?).

Weekend plans should be fun... tomorrow I'm going to the International Career Fair in the city and then tomorrow night we're going out for Ellen's birthday! *weeee! Sunday I have to go out and buy some camping supplies for our upcoming rafting trip. That should also be exciting.

Things I need to buy for my camping/rafting trip:

Sunblock
Tent
Sleeping bag
Bug repellent
Lamp/Flashlight
Water shoes! (I've never had these and they're pretty ugly, but I need to protect my feet)

Annnnd I guess that's all I can think of right now. Any help would be much appreciated.

Ahh I Love to Eat

Damn this delicious food!! Why do things taste better once I decide to try and start eating healthy. *Sigh. Actually, I'm only kind of trying to eat healthy. Let me try to think back to what I ate yesterday and today...

Things I ate yesterday:

Breakfast: 2 little biscuits with gravy, some scrambled eggs, some potatoes, strawberries, OJ

Lunch: Caesar salad with shrimp, a few pieces of BBQ chicken, fro-yo (choc-peanut butter!), water

Dinner: garlic fries, hot dog

Etc: 2 activia yogurts (one strawberry and one vanilla)

Things I ate today:

Breakfast: 2 little biscuits with gravy, some scrambled eggs, some potatoes, strawberries, decaf coffee

Lunch: 2 cups of chicken tortilla soup, sandwich (turkey, curry aioli?, tomatoes, lettuce, mayo), light lemonade that tasted like pee (yuck), fro-yo (cookies n cream with a few choc chips)

Dinner: carne asada burrito, chips, salsa, water

Etc: Skinny Cow ice cream sandwich

So yeah. I'm not eating super healthy, but I think soup/sandwich for lunch is pretty healthy? Hmmm. Whatevah! I've also decided to alter my gym plans... I'm going to do 45 minutes of cardio (elliptical machine) + weights. So it'll be more like 75/25 cardio/weights... better that I spend more time doing cardio since that'll burn more fat. No point building my ab muscles yet when there's just this giant layer of fat on top. Yuck!

Also, I love massages. I just got a massage for 15 minutes for only $5! I love it. It's not a naked massage, just the ones where you sit in those cushy chairs and someone rubs your back/shoulders/arms/hands for awhile. It's pretty much heaven for $5. Now I just want to take a little nap... *zzz

Lazy Sundays

Ahhh Sunday. What a lovely day. I'm actually pretty happy with myself, I went out every day this weekend! I went out Friday night, Saturday, and today. *YAY* I am NOT a loser. Well... I guess.

Friday - after work, went home for dinner and a nap, picked up Sabrina in Daly City, met up with Andrew, David, Henry, and Hubert at Irish Bank near Union Square. Then we headed up to North Beach at this other bar that I didn't catch the name of. It was really fun :) After the bar, we got some pizza at this one place. The pizza wasn't great, but the philly cheesesteak sandwiches that the guys got, looked deeeelicious. Here are a few pictures (with a few pictures from the Warriors game last weekend):
Warriors Game & Night Out (Sabrina n Co.)

Saturday - went out to Alameda for Ashley's baby shower. I got lost like four times on the way there, but hey. I still made it by 1:30 pm. Cheech met up with me there and we had a lot of fun! The baby games were really fun, although I sucked at most of them. It was really great to see Zzip, Ashley, Jen, and company again. I haven't seen them in so long. I need to hang out with them more often. After the baby shower, Cheech and I went out to Sushi House and had a YUMMY meal. We split a Bento box with tonkatsu, teriyaki salmon, and tempura. Then we also split a roll called the California Extreme Roll (I think?), it was a california roll with unagi on top. YUM! So good, and it was all only like $25. Yum yum yum. After lunner, we went to Emeryville to go shopping a bit. We hit up H&M, BR, Victoria's Secret, and A&F. I bought a few things, but details to come in a bit. Cheech came over to the apt, and we hung out with Ellen and watched TV a bit. Then we went over to Andrew's place and then Rosewood in North Beach. Here are pictures of Ashley's baby shower and one picture of Ellen at Rosewood (heehee):
Ashley's Baby Shower 4.21.07

Today - Woke up, made pancakes for lunch, then went out to watch Blades of Glory with Rich. It was actually really funny! I thought it would be semi-terrible, but I liked it. It was very entertaining. Will Ferrell is gross and hilarious. Now I'm just hanging out at home, watching my Netflix... Robin Hood the Disney Cartoon. It's freaking awesome. I haven't seen this movie since I was like 6. Loverly.

Things I bought:

H&M - Black smocked dress ($12.90) that I'm going to use as a swimsuit cover-up in Vegas, underpants ($3.90... I think? I don't remember), rings ($5.90)

A&F - a grey shirt ($15.90)

Things I ate:

It's been a long weekend, so I'll try to remember...

Friday: some salad, chicken tortilla soup, spaghettios, egg/cheese sandwich, Skinny Cow ice cream, beer, slice of pizza

Saturday: chips n dip, sushi, salmon teriyaki, tempura, egg/cheese sandwich, a few drinks, 2 slices of pizza at Andrew's house

Sunday: pancakes, Icee, popcorn

And I'm sure there will be lots more to write later on in the "Things I ate" section for today. I'm really quite enjoying myself on the couch. I love lazy Sundays.

How does one gain 2 lbs while going to the gym 4 days in a row?

Yeah, so I've gained over 2 lbs since Monday. What the heezy?! Yeah yeah yeah maybe it's muscle, but whatever. I think Ty's workout plan is not working... but! Then again, it's only been one week. Although I do have to get to Babies 'R Us and buy a present for a shower this Saturday.

Breakfast: 2 french toast slices, syrup, sausage, a few little potatoes, water

Lunch: half a sandwich, 2 cups of chicken tortilla soup, one scallop, one cookie (well I just picked out the chocolate bits and ate those, does that count?), small serving of non-fat fro-yo

Dinner: cup of chipotle corn chowdah, cheese & egg sandwich that I made allll by myself.

Etc: before, I wrote that I didn't have any snacks. Then Ellen came home, and I had Madeleine cookies with Nutella and milk.

Things I bought today:

TJ Maxx - Kenneth Cole Reaction suitcase $69.90 (since I ripped my cheapy Swiss Army one)

TJ Maxx - Umbrella with a flashlight! $9.90

Babies 'R Us - presents that are ADORABLE for Ashley's baby shower on Saturday

Ahh hump day. So far the day has been quiet and somewhat unproductive. I've just been reading the stories on the Virginia Tech shootings. So depressing and sad. It's amazing and disgusting that one human being can do that to so many other human beings. It's sick the way the world is... Buuut anyway. Moving on to things that don't make feel depressed... Nothing important is going on today, just work, gym, etc.

Things I ate today:

Breakfast: plain bagel with cream cheese, strawberries, half of a sugar-free 2% latte

Lunch: 2 little lettuce wraps, a few pieces of cherry pork (it tasted like orange chicken), a little bit of vermicelli noodles, slice of chocolate cake, 2 ginger molasses cookies, diet coke

Dinner: salmon, white rice, green beans, bread from a teriyaki chicken sandwich

Etc: Vitamin Water (Peach Mango flavor)

Things I bought today:

Lots of fun things from L'Occitane.com! I had this special code to get a free Verbana Shea Butter tin thingy and free shipping! So, I bought...

Lavender Hand & Foot Care Set $38 (on sale) with a mini travel size included
Verbena Pure Shea Butter $0!
Grape Anti-Water Retention Gel Sample $0! (but it's just a tiny sample size)
Magic Key - Press Tube $8 (this thing helps press out more lotion, so it squeeeeezes it out)

Total including tax: $49.80
ETA: 5 business days from today... so 4/25/07

Is it Friday yet?

Man, I'm going to have to start thinking of more creative titles for my posts. Whatevah! Anyway, yesterday at the gym, Ty was a maniac!! But I guess it's good because I need to be bikini ready by Memorial Day Weekend. *weee Vegas! So far, me, Sooz, and Chris have tickets for O at Bellagio. I'm so excited! I hope it's good... actually I'm pretty sure it'll be good. The play is at 10:30 on Saturday night, so we can always hit up a club or something afterwards (if Ellen and Eunie and co. go to Vegas too).

Things I ate today:

Breakfast: toast with butter and strawberry jelly, sausage, strawberries, half a bottle of OJ

Lunch: white rice, spinach, teriyaki tri-tip, diet coke

Dinner: mexican rice, carne asada, salsa, chips

Etc: 2 pieces of toast with nutella, jasmine tea

*Side-note: yesterday I didn't eat my berries, but I did eat an Activia yogurt and a small bowl of Smart Start when I got home

Another quiet weekend

Yeah, so Friday night I went home and hung out on the couch. Had a pretty gnarly headache, so it was nice to sit at home and do home-things (wash dishes, cook dinner, etc). Loverly.

Saturday I went out to Chinatown to get my jeans altered with Ellen but the alterations lady is on vacation till May! Yeesh. Must be nice. Then after our failed attempt to see the alterations lady, we hit up dim sum at the same place we always go to. I have no idea what it's name is, but it's on Pacific between Powell and Stockton. After dim sum, we walked around Chinatown, bought a few pastries from Golden Gate Bakery, then headed home for more TV and couch lounging. Later, Phill came over and we all went to Union Square. Ellen and I went to Zara, H&M, and Levis and I did not find ONE thing that I wanted to buy. How depressing... I was really hoping to shell out some cash and bring something fun and new home so it can entertain me for a day or so. Oh well. After more couch lounging, we hit up Naan 'N Curry on Van Ness. Word of advice, don't eat at Naan 'N Curry. The chicken tikka masala was so very bland! Bleh. Then after dinner, we just sat on our asses and ate. Awesome. I'm not even going to try to name all the foods I've eaten over the weekend.

Sunday I headed out to the Warriors VS Timberwolves game in Oakland. It was REALLY fun! Too bad we got there hella* late and missed the first two quarters. Whatevah, it was fun for a random Sunday adventure. After the game we headed home to rest and then hit up Target later. So overall, it was a pretty chill weekend. I had a lot of fun hanging out with Ellie and Phill.

Oh! I also booked my room at Bally's and my plane tix for my Vegas Adventure over Memorial Day Weekend. I'm pretty damn excited. Me and Sooz don't drink or gamble too much, so we're mostly going to walk around, shop, and entertain ourselves while Chris has to follow us around. It'll be awesome. AND I put down the deposit for my European Vacation in September. The future is looking up, people... I can feel it.

Things I bought:

Target - Bamboo/cotton sheet set for $39.99

Things to buy:

I really want this necklace (see picture). I think I've wanted this necklace for about 6+ mos., but I can't seem to buy it. They just came out with a new heart watch thing. So, I might just buckle down and get it. I'm not sure if I want black or red... we'll see. Oh, and I want a new duvet cover from Target.

Things I ate today:

Breakfast: potatoes, half a english muffin, scrambled eggs, OJ

Lunch: white rice, beef n broccoli, asparagus, diet dr. pepper

Dinner: vermicelli noodles, white rice, seafood black pepper thingy, piece of chicken, water

Etc: It's It ice cream sandwich (oooops!), berries

*nice.

Dun dun dun... almost the weekend!!!!!

Ahhh it's Friday. FINALLY. Man this week seemed like it lasted forever. Probably because I had the worst PMS I've had in awhile. I've pretty much felt like killing myself or everyone around me since last week. What an awful feeling. Anyway, much better today! And I'm happy that it's Friday and tomorrow I can sleep in a bit. I think Ellen wants to hit up Chintown for some jean-hemming and Dim sum. mmmmmm. Dim sum.

Friday the 13th, 2007!

Breakfast: bagel with light cream cheese, strawberries, OJ

Lunch: honey walnut prawns, seaweed salad, papaya salad, 2 inari, rice, sweet n sour pork

Dinner: pasta with marinara sauce, 2 pieces of wheat sourdough toast with light butter, crystal light

Etc: weird tiny berry smoothie, small cup of Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal with 2% milk,

Why does my body hurt so much?

So I went to the gym on TUESDAY and for some reason, my body is KILLING me today. I think I did too many reps on those hip abductor machines. Hip Abductor... what a creepy word for exercise equipment. Anyway, long story short... my lower body is especially in pain and it makes me feel like either A. shooting myself in the face or B. shooting everyone else in the face. Doesn't make for a fun Thursday. But at least tomorrow is Friday... the weekend is fast approaching. I kind of just want to sleep in both days and lounge around all day in my PJs. Perhaps run a few errands (a.k.a. shopping). We shall see what happens.

April 12, 2007

Breakast: 2 mini waffles, 2 mini french toast slices, sausage, strawberries, syrup, cup of jasmine tea with honey

Lunch: Caesar salad with shrimp (yum!), rice krispy treat with chocolate (yuuuuum!), diet coke

Dinner: jasmine rice, yellow curry with tofu, a few pieces of chicken

Etc: a few chocolates (Lindt), another rice krispy treat (oops), a gluten-free (?) chocolate chip cookie, a few oreos and a glass of milk

holy crap I ate a lot in the "Etc" category. crikey.

Philly Cheesesteak

Honestly. When I try to make a valiant effort to eat healthy, the cafe downstairs decides to start having SUPER delicious things for lunch. Bacon wrapped fillet mignon? Philly cheese steak with garlic fries? C'MON!!! Oh well. I think today will be super caloric as we're celebrating a new employee... I heard the word cakes today. CakeS. Not just one people, oh no... multiple cakes. After we had our litle celebration, we headed over to Palo Alto bowl and bowled for a few hours. Great fun!

April 11, 2007

Breakfast: bagel with light cream cheese and strawberry jelly, 2% sugar free vanilla latte

Lunch: philly cheese steak sandwich, garlic fries, diet coke

Dinner: 2 slices of pizza, glass of Amstel Light

Etc: a few Whopper easter egg candies, multiple cheese and crackers, half a piece of cake, bowl of berries

Also, last night I had 2 buffalo wings.

Guilt

Man, this writing-down-everything-I-eat thing kind of sucks. I mean it's good that I'm keeping track of everything that goes into my pie hole, but actually fessing up to all the crap I eat makes me feel kind of bad about myself. Obviously not enough to stop, but enough to make me feel a bit worse about myself everyday. Perhaps this guilt will turn into pro-active behavior so I can start eating in a more healthy manner and then drop oh, about 30 lbs. We'll see about that. On to food...

April 10, 2007

Breakfast: scrambled eggs, potatoes, english muffin, OJ

Lunch: bacon wrapped filet mignon (how CAN you resist), white rice, asparagus, small piece of cranberry chocolate torte cake

Dinner: white rice, a little piece of fish, prime rib, fruit salad

Etc: Godiva Mocha drink, a few Whopper Easter Egg candies, pirates booty *mmmm

I'm pretty sure when I go home, I'll end up eating something else. Why? Again, because I have almost no self-control. Temptation sucks. I actually had a small bowl of Smart Start cereal last night, but I didn't add it to my list for yesterday. But that's kind of healthy? I think I'll eat another small bowl tonight. *Sigh. Pathetic, is I!

Planning a Las Vegas excursion

So I have barely done any work today. I've been focusing my entire morning on trying to plan a Vegas trip for Memorial Day weekend for me and Susie's birthdays. Bleh. I'm so unmotivated... and then this afternoon I have to call the Contiki people and ask a few questions before me and Tracee's European Vacation. Traveling is fun, planning for the trip is not. On to food...

April 9, 2007

Breakfast: toast, scrambled eggs, potatoes, OJ

Lunch: rice, steak with pineapple, carrots, diet coke, frozen yogurt with a few choc chips

Dinner: small carne asada burrito (meat, rice, salsa, sour cream), chips, salsa

Etc: 2 mini dark Snickers candies, It's It ice cream sandwich *sigh. I meant to only eat half, but I have no self control and I have major PMS. WHO WANTS TO FIGHT ABOUT IT! :)

Another weekend gone by

Saturday: I didn't even leave the house ONCE. Not even to go downstairs to get the mail... because I am a big fat loser who decided it was best to feel sorry for herself and stay at home. Actually, it was kind of nice to sit at home and do nothing since I went out almost every day during the work week. I finished reading Shopaholic & Baby and of course, it was satisfyingly girly and sweet. Then later I watched Green Street Hooligans, which was satisfyingly violent and English (UK English, not the language). I also ate a LOT. Yikes.

Today/Sunday: Woke up at 11 am by Kathy's phone call and decided to meet her and Wendy for Brunch at Absinthe in Hayes Valley. The food was pretty yummy and I had lots of fun hanging out with Wendy and Kathy before Wendy heads back down to LA. After dropping off Wendy & Kathy at Kathy's apt, I went to get a car wash. Which was... lovely I guess? My car was hella dirty from parking underneath a stupid flowering tree. So now my car is nice and clean, but won't be for long as I have to park under the same tree. After getting my car washed, I went to go kill some time at the mall in Daly City to realize that nothing is open on Easter. BOO. So I guess I'll have to wait until tomorrow to go buy a few unnecessary things. I really want a new phone. Perhaps the Samsung SCH-U620? It's a cute little slider phone... and I do love Samsung. I can order it online, but I want to go check it out in person before I drop down almost $200 for a new phone.

April 7, 2007

Breakfast: Nothing as I didn't wake up in time

Lunch: Pizza and chicken wings from Costco

Dinner: Pasta with marinara sauce, 2 slices of wheat sourdough toast, Crystal Light

Etc: hot chocolate (Ghirardelli... mmm), 2 Madeleine cookies with a bit of Nutella on top! Yum.

April 8, 2007

Brunch: 2 eggs over medium, 2 pieces of sourdough toast, little potato thingys, half of a sausage, coffee

Dinner: pasta with marinara sauce, 2 pieces of sourdough wheat toast, Crystal Light

Etc: pizza from costco as a snack, one Madeleine cookie, small bowl of cereal

Funny how I ate almost the same exact thing yesterday and today. Hmmm.

PMS

Man have I got bad PMS. I just want to punch everyone in the face... I can't help it either. I know I'm being cranky solely due to my hormones. But I can't stop it. Argh. BLAH. Okay, sorry, moving on to the food consumed during the day.

April 5, 2007

Breakfast: egg white omelette with crab meat, cheese, tomatoes, with tomatillo salsa, small cup of coffee

Lunch: In-N-Out cheeseburger with fries, spread, and diet coke

Dinner: wharf-style crab @ Nonna Rose's, sourdough bread, clam chow-dah (soooo yummy!)

After dinner I dropped off Kathy, Wendy, and Andrew at the Velvet Cantina so they can get their drink on. Meanwhile, I was tired and useless and just went home to sleep. I didn't buy anything today... but stay tuned for the weekend. *wooo!

Dinner @ Spago

Diversity Dinner - Spago - 4/4/07
So! Yesterday was my first day of keeping track of what I ate. And of course, on the 2nd day I have a free dinner at Spago... on the house. Great. Thanks a lot, me. Today I didn't buy anything exciting, so I'll go straight to the sustenance portion of this marvelous blog.

April 4, 2007

Breakfast: potatoes, scrambled eggs, English muffin, OJ

Lunch: sandwich (spicy mustard, mayo, chicken, tomato, lettuce, pickles), broccoli, fingerling potatoes, 2 tiny chocolate muffins

Snack: 2% sugar-free vanilla latte

Dinner: cesar salad, three slices of nut bread with butter, some tiny pasta dish appetizer thingy, steak, mashed potatoes, peas, half of a chocolate lava cake, half of a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream

Mmmmm Spago was pretty damn tasty. I'm not sure I'd go there on my own (aka, I wouldn't pay for the food) but it was HELLA* good for being free.

Tomorrow is another day, hopefully a lovely sunny warm Thursday. I have possible options for evening entertainment: gym, dinner, karaoke with coworkers VS crab dinner with high school buddies (actually, they were my BAND friends... go Trombones!). So we'll see which event pans out tomorrow night. Either way... I'm glad I have options.

*I am trying to incorporate this word into everyday lingo, as it is still awkward to use. I'm wannabe Nor-Cal

Losing Weight

Okay. So my goal is to get healthy. I've quit smoking and now it's time to lose weight and get in shape. I've only been gaining weight, well actually my entire life. So! Time for a little bit of ch-ch-ch-ch-changes. Just like the song. Ty will help me watch what I eat and be a nazi in the gym. Which I'm a bit afraid of... I don't want to start hating him. But I do want to get thinner and lose a shit load of weight. So! I think I'm going to log everything that I buy AND eat/drink/consume/inhale. It'll be like Bridget Jones's Diary + The Shopaholic (except I'm not from the UK and I'm not white)... all rolled together into one obsessive and completely compulsive blog.

First things first, purchased items. I went to Urban with Cheech on Monday out in Santana Row and got myself a few things. First, I got a pair of really cute wedges from Urban for $39.99 on sale. Although the blue is cute, it's hard to match and they actually have a pair of brown ones online... So might I have to exchange them. Very cute and comfy tho. Second, I got this little planter thing for my desk at work. Before I just had mostly garbage and dust on my desk. Now I have garbage, dust, and this tiny planter that will soon reward me with Mint! Yum. I'm not sure if I'll actually use the mint, I just like the planter.

Now! Onto food...

April 3, 2007

Breakfast: 2 eggs over medium, toast with butter, OJ

Lunch: Chicken Tikka with Jasmine rice, diet coke

Dinner: carne asada small burrito, chips, salsa

Etc: 3 Malibu Pineapples *yikes. (but I can't hang out with my coworkers without drinking)

Ta-dah

It's official, I am now a "Blogger." Although technically I was a blogger when I started my xanga a few years ago. Unfortunately, xanga has turned into a somewhat freaky stalker-tool. Whatever, back to the point of me being a Blogger. I've decided to start writing in this thingy because I wanted a distraction from work and also, I was inspired by the loverly Mindy... the "Indian Chick" from The Office. I didn't know that 1) she's a writer on the show 2) she's a shopaholic 3) she's hilarious. Everyone should check out her blog...

Anyway, I'll probably just use this blog to write about my shopping extravaganzas, my boring days, and my nonexistent love life. How pathetic.

So to start this blog off right, I'll write about my latest purchase. Nanette Lepore perfume which was kind of suggested by Mindy in her blog (I got the original scent, not the one Mindy suggests) Here's her description of the Shanghai Butterfly scent "
So when you don't want to ooze Sexuality, and you want to ooze Normal Awesome Girl, or you just don't want to ooze at all, you should wear Nanette Lepore Shanghai Butterfly." Basically, since I don't ooze any type of sexuality and I pretty much live in jeans and a sweatshirt I thought this would be an excellent scent for me (also I haven't bought any new perfumes in over 3 years, it's time.). I went by Nordys @ the Stonestown mall to try it out. Since I didn't ask for the Shanghai Butterfly perfume, the saleslady just let me smell the original perfume and I really really liked it! It smells crisp, fresh, and sweet. It's not over powering and it's not sickeningly sweet. It's perfect. So I bought a huge ass bottle and now I smell "very naice." So instead of wreaking of "Normal Awesome Girl" now I will wreak of "SUPER Normal Awesome Girl"... or so I'd like to think. Thanks, Mindy!*

And after work today, I'm going to head out to Urban Outfitters @ Santana Row with Cecilia (hereby known as "Cheech") to go shopping a bit for a belated birthday present, and of course... for myself. So I think I'll end the first entry of this blog here. Seacrest, OUT!

*I hope this blog doesn't turn out to be some kind of psychotic tribute to Mindy. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
