A whole entry dedicated to shopping...

I figured the last entry was too long, but I still wanted to talk about all the crap I've bought. So here we go.

Things I've Bought:

Target - white gauzy shirt, white tank top, brown cotton skirt
Nordstrom 5/25 - Clinque makeup remover, boycut Seven jeans, really cute flats (but in bronze, not black), and a cute brown floral/butterfly bag that I wanted to use as a carry-on bag.
Sephora - Stila lip gloss in apricot, Stila's introduction to foundation kit, a pencil sharpener

Metropark - a really cute black Volcom sundress to wear to my sister's graduation (below is the back view of the dress)

Urban - cute Lux printed tank top (it's a really cute aqua/brown print), cheapy long sleeve green shirt

Nordstrom 5/28 - Nars eyeshadow in Nightstar (a really peachy light sparkly eyeshadow), Nars blush in Deep Throat (niiiice. I think either Sooz or Ellen has this color too... it's a really sparkly pinky color!)
Borders - Baby Proof by Emily Griffin

Lazy MONdays?

Woohoo Lazy Monday! Awesome. These are quite rare... I must really make the most of this. Anyway, this will be a hella* long update since lots n lots have happened in the last week. Or well, not much has happened, but I've traveled a bit.

Wednesday 5/23 - Went to work, went to Target with Emily and Michelle to pick up a few road trip accessories (AKA clothes), then hit the road with Emily, Michelle, Melissa, Sean, Brian, and Kishore to this little restaurant in Santa Cruz. I ordered the fish n chips and a mojito! It was quiet delicious. Then after lunch we headed toward Monterey and checked into the Monterey Plaza Hotel & Spa around 4 pm. We had a drink then the girls headed up to the spa to get 50 minute massages. I must say a professional relaxing massage is probably the best thing ever. EVER. After the massages, we all showered and headed out to El Torito for dinner where we had yummy mexican food and margaritas. After dinner we had a few drinks at the hotel bar and then went to sleep around midnight.

Monterey 05/23 - 05/24/07

Thursday 5/24 - Had yummy breakfast then checked out of the hotel, went on a scenic drive, then walked around the beach before heading back to work. Got to work around 1 pm and did some work till about 6. Then Super Shuttle picked my ass up and off to the airport I went! I landed in Vegas around 10 pm where Sooz and Chris were waiting for me. We checked into Bally's around 10:30 pm, dropped our stuff in the room, and started walking around the strip to search for food. Everywhere was closed because it was only Thursday and we eventually stopped at Outback Steakhouse. Finally we walked back to the room and passed the hell out.

Friday 5/25 - Woke up at around 9 am, hit the pool around 10 am, hung out and tanned until about noon, then showered and got dressed. We had Bally's Buffet for lunch, which was NOT delicious and quite gross, then met up with Tracee and Jeremy. I learned how to play craps *Yay but lost $20 *Boo. After Sooz, Chris, and I took a nap and woke up around 6 pm. We drove out to the Zappos shoe outlet but it SUCKED, then we hit up the Fashion Show mall where I bought LOTS of stuff. After shopping, we went to Bellagio for dinner @ the buffet and it was about 100x better than Bally's. After dinner we went back to the hotel room, rested a bit, then walked to TI to hang out at Kahunaville. Kahunaville was a really chill tropical themed bar with DELICIOUS strawberry-coladas! So yummy. I had two and didn't even turn a LITTLE bit red. I was a tad bit tipsy tho.

Saturday 5/26 - Woke up early again to hit the pool, hung out there till about noon, then showered and got dressed for lunch. We drove out to Mandalay Bay for their buffet which was also deeeelish, then hit up the Shark Reef Aquarium at Chris' request. Although I think enjoyed myself WAY more... (I do love to look at things... especially random animals/fish). After the aquarium we took a nap in the hotel room then got ready for dinner at Lawry's. Lawry's was REALLY good... I actually finished my whole cut of meat, which I've never been able to do before! I LOVE the creamed corn too. MMmm. Our waiter was this really weird guy and his name was Mr. Munoz. Kind of pretentious for a server to go by his last name, isn't it? Or is it pretentious of me to find it odd that a server wants a formal title. Hmm. He was weird. Anyway, after dinner we went to Bellagio to see O. Cirque Du Soleil is awesome. Indescribable. The show was totally amazing, beautiful, and funny. I want to see all the Cirque shows now. Amazing. After O we were really tired so we just fell asleep.

Sunday 5/27 - Woke up around 10, got our stuff together and checked out around 11 am. After we checked out we headed over to the Wynn for their Buffet and I must say, it was a great place to end our trip. The food was so delicious... they had an omelette bar, gelato, pancakes, waffles, french toast, etc etc etc... SO GOOD. Man. I love food. After lunch we went to the Miracle Mile Shops @ the Planet Hollywood casino. We shopped at a lot of different stores (sephora, metropark, aldo, etc.) and finally I had to go to the airport at 5 pm. The flight wasn't too shabby but it seems that whenever I'm on a flight, I'm surrounded by really annoying stupid people that don't know how to shut their MOUTHS. There were a few fat girls that wouldn't shut up and behind me there were 3 old people totally bull-shitting each other. One guy was like, "Marketing? Yeah, I KNOW marketing. I do marketing for this landscaping company." Um, isn't that a fancy word for gardening? Stupid people. Ellen picked me up at around 8:15-ish and we had pho for dinner in Chinatown. After we just watched tv and hung out. Sweet.

Vegas!! 05/24 - 05/27/07

Today "Lazy Monday" 5/28 - Woke up after about 10 hours of sleep, hung around the house, then headed over to Union Square because I had nothing else to do. Met up with Ellen for lunch @ Boudin's which was yum yum yummy, then went to a few random stores because... well again, I had nothing else to do but shop and spend money. So I bought some clothes from Urban, bought some makeup from Nordy's, and a book from Borders. Weeee. Now I am home watching Run's House on MTV. Fabulous Lazy Monday!

*yeaaaah!

Haircuts?

So I have been looking at different hair styles for awhile, but it seems like I keep looking at the SAME hairstyles every single time. Here are the contenders so far, but I think they're pretty much the same cut.

1)

2) I can't really see the back of these cuts, but I like the bangs...
OR

3)

hmm... which one?

Also, the book I've been reading, Anybody Out There? is probably the saddest book I've read in awhile. In the first half, it wasn't too sad. Then *BAM... it's sooo sad. I read for like two hours last night before I went to sleep and was kinda crying the entire time. Yikes. My eyes were a bit puffy today.

"AHHH Kelly Clarkson!"

Kelly Clarkson is so fierce these days. Like early Alanis Morisette, pre-Ryan Reynolds.

Lazy Sundays, Take Three

Ahhh. Lazy Sundays. What I been doing all day? I woke up at like 8 am for some random reason then forced myself back to sleep till about 10:30-ish. I figured since I'm awake I can do a few loads of laundry *Yay clean clothes for Vegas! Then after my laundry was done, I hit up the car wash so I can get rid of all that sap and crap on my car. The car wash guy told me that I need the "Full Detail Wash" which was $150 because my car was so disgusting. I don't think so. It's a corolla. Yeesh. So I compromised and got the $50 express wax wash thingy. My car looks pretty clean and it's actually never been waxed. But honestly, I probably could've gotten the same effect with the $20 regular car wash. Whatever. Not doing that again.

After the car wash I headed to Stonestown Mall and ate Boudin's for lunch. Again. Yum. But this time I got the Chinese Chicken Salad which is probably my most favoritest salad... and not only because I am Chinese. After lunch I tried this nail place in the mall and got a mani/pedi. The pedicure was nice and the manicure was OK. I think it's better than the cheapy place I usually go downstairs because they have a better selection of nail polishes and they have the cool massage chairs. But the actual polishing of my nails was only subpar. I a tiny air bubble on one of my nails and there are a few nails that were a tiny bit sloppy. But oh well.

After my mani/pedi I decided to randomly walk around the mall to see if I can find anything to buy. I went to AE (nothing), JCrew (nothing), BR (nothing), and then finally went to Gap. I found a cute plain grey cotton dress that was on sale for $20 so I got that. I'm going kinda shopping crazy with dresses lately. Maybe because dresses are so comfy. Hmmm... I hope this isn't a path where I'll eventually be buying muumuus and weighing 800 lbs. Yikes.

After the mall, I went to Bed Bath and Beyond to find a plain duvet cover to go with my new quilt! *yay. I bought a light green colored duvet which should hopefully match the quilt, for only $50. Niiice. And now I'm doing another load of laundry for my new duvet covers and another load for my towels, etc. making it four loads of laundry today. Wow... that's a lot of laundry. Anywhoo, now I'm just sitting at home after spending 30 minutes on the phone with my mom trying to persuade her to try gmail instead of aol and then it turns out my dad doesn't enable cookies on his computer so she can't access gmail anyway. Argh.

So! I'm reading this book called Anybody Out There? by Marian Keyes. And it's pretty damn sad. You just really feel sorry for the main character. I was reading the book while getting my pedicure and I almost started crying. I had to stop reading otherwise I would get a lot of weird stares. Hopefully I'll finish the book by Vegas time so I can let Sooz read it. Ok. I guess I'm done for now. I should really get out more. Hm.

Bikini waxes...

aren't that bad actually! I was pretty scared at first, but the waxing lady was so nice and gentle it wasn't bad at all! Cheech and I left work around 5 pm, grabbed some starbucks (and took some extra strength tylenol), and headed over to NTT Skin in Palo Alto. We kinda got lost on the way but luckily Cheech called Stef and we found the spa.

I went first because I wasn't freaking out as much as Cheech and the lady, Nellie, did my eyebrows and lip first. She was super meticulous and it took a lil longer than I'm normally used to. But she did a really great job on my eyebrows. One thing I didn't like was she kinda burned my lip, so I have this little scab thingy which sucks, but it should go away in a few days. Then came the uncomfortable part... so I won't go into detail too much, but it was pretty awkward being on that table. But Nellie was still very nice and professional so she didn't make it any worse than it had to be. I wanted to "go big or go home" but instead decided on just a regular bikini wax. Overall it was pretty awesome... I would go back eventually. And the prices were VERY reasonable. Eyebrows $15, lip $10, and bikini $35... so it all added up to $60!! Freaking awesome. The lady that does my eyebrows at Stonestown mall charges just as much for an eyebrow/lip wax. She does a great job also, but I don't feel like she's as meticulous as Nellie. I think I've found a new waxing lady. AWESOME.

Anyway, so after the waxing experience, Cheech and I headed back to work so she can grab her stuff (also her friend Christina was meeting us there). We sat around for a bit, then headed to Lucy's house for her graduation party (I guess she graduated in Winter, but walked yesterday). We stopped at Safeway first to grab a bottle of champagne then went to Lucy's house in San Jose. Her family had awesome food for dinner, which was delightful since we were starving... I'm kinda getting hungry just thinking about it now. Anyway, we ate dinner, ate some cake, hung around for a bit, then left at about 10 pm. Cheech and Christina went to hang out around downtown Mt. View, but I decided to drive home. When I got home, I watched some tv, and finished my book Faking It by Jennifer Crusie. Great girlie books!

And now I am still in bed... even though I've slept for around 10 hours. I actually woke up today at like 8 am and freaked out thinking that I was late for work. Then I realized it was Saturday and fell blissfully back to sleep. Sweet. I think I might head to Union Square for a bit of shopping. I need to hit up a few stores... actually I really only need to go to ONE store (Tiffany & Co.) but I'll probably end up going to like 10 different stores. At least. Today feels like a nice relaxing shopping adventure.

Update @ 10 PM:

So I ended up going to Union Square to entertain myself. I returned a dress at Urban, had a delicious clam chowder bread bowl for lunch from Boudin's, then hit up Tiffany & Co. Tiffany was pretty intimidating. It's this ginormous building right next to Union Square. I walked around kind of lost for awhile then this really nice lady helped me with the necklaces I had decided on for my gifts. I didn't realize that it would take so long to get things engraved but the two necklaces will be ready by the time I go home for Tracee's graduation. I had to get my necklace lengthened because my damn neck is too fat. So mine won't be ready until after June.

After Tiffany I hit up this little store called Halo that is VERY forever 21-esque and cheap. I got myself a really cute brown polka dot headband. After I kind of wandered around and met up with Ellen and Phill who were having lunch at the Nordstrom Cafe Bistro. After they ate, we walked around the mall (we went to J.Crew and I tried on a few dresses and they all kinda looked weird) and then hit up Urban. I ended up buying this quilt that I've liked for awhile (picture below!) and then we headed back home. Oh yeah! Also, we stopped at Jamba Juice and there was this CRAZY asian lady!! She had this metal spoon and she was walking around Phill's car with it saying, "I need to see your license and registration please. And your insurance." This lady was freaking crazy. It was pretty funny. Phill was like ,"Uh... please get away from my car... please."
And now I'm just sitting on the couch watching Sweet Home Alabama on a Saturday night. I was going to go out to the Mission with Andrew for Henry's bday, but now I am lazy. Woohoo laziness! Tomorrow: manicure, pedicure, random shopping at Stonestown.

Deep Thoughts by Christy

Ah yes. So almost 7 pm on Thursday night. And I am still. at. work. How lame! But whatevah, if I wait for the 8 pm shuttle, I don't have to bus it home. I can just walk through the park straight to the apt. I'll miss the season finale of The Office, but as Brian so kindly pointed out, I can just buy it off iTunes for $2. Sweet.

Anyway. So I've been listening to the Wreckers CD which is actually the quasi-new band that Michelle Branch started after she had her baby with her disgustingly old husband. The CD is pretty good and one song really speaks to me. "Speaks to me." I can't believe I just said that... I'm retarded. Anyway, back to the case in hand. So this song TOTALLY reminds me of "W" back in college. I don't want to use his name because... well I'm not really sure why... because the people reading this won't ever talk to him. Anyway, I'm still using "W" in lieu of the real name of my ex.

Here are the lyrics to "Leave the Pieces" by the Wreckers:

You're not sure that you love me
But you're not sure enough to let me go
Baby it ain't fair you know
To just keep me hangin' 'round

You say you don't wanna hurt me
Don't wanna to see my tears
So why are you still standing here
Just watching me drown

[Chorus]
And it's alright, yeah I'll be fine
Don't worry 'bout this heart of mine
Just take your love and hit the road
There's nothing you can do or say
You're gonna break my heart anyway
So just leave the pieces when you go

Now you can drag out the heartache
Baby you can make it quick
Really get it over with
And just let me move on

Don't concern yourself
With this mess you've left for me
I can clean it up, you see
Just as long as you're gone

[Chorus]

You not making up your mind
Is killing me and wasting time
I need so much more than that
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

[Chorus]

Leave the pieces when you go
Oh yeah
Leave the pieces when you go
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
Leave the pieces when you go

And it totally reminded me of what I felt when I was with W. I felt like he liked me JUST enough that he didn't want me to be with other people. But he didn't like me enough to want to be WITH me. It totally made me feel like I was a piece of crap. But now that I reflect back on it, he was the piece of crap because even though he couldn't help how he felt, he could've been the bigger person to walk away. He knew that I liked him and he knew that I cared... the only issue was him. And he knew that. I tried to leave like three times but it just didn't work because he liked me just enough that he didn't want me to leave (until he was ready of course). Anyway, now that it's been almost 2 complete years that I've been out of college... I should be feeling mature, etc. Anyway. I'm not really feeling depressed. Just more reflective. And now that I read back on what I wrote, I feel like an idiot for still thinking about crap like this even though it's been over and done with for almost three years. Yikes.

Working from home in bed = Awesome

So today Ellen was supposed to be here to let the maintenance guy into the apt (we have water damage on one of our living room walls), but since she had to be at work for an early meeting I am staying home to let the guy in. Poor Ellen, she's been working some crazy hours. The guy doesn't get here until 9 am, and I woke up at 7 am so I figured I might as well just lay in bed and work for a bit before I make it to the office.

I tried to shower this morning after I woke up, but the water was super cold again. Stupid other people trying to shower the same time as me!!! Oh well. This is the first time the water was cold in a few months, so it's not too bad. And I'm just going to lie in bed for now anyway... listening to my iPod, with my little space heater on, and lots of lovely blankets. It's been super cold in the city lately. Stupid cold.

What else is happening... hmmm. Monday wasn't super exciting. I just had work, went to the gym, dropped Ty off at home, and then watched HEROES!! Why is this show so good... it's addicting and I love Peter and Hiro and Ando. heehee. Maybe not so much Hiro, but he's so cute and dorky. I heard he works in the city for LucasFilms or something. So funny! Anyway, back on track... wait. Sooz, you watch Heroes right?? If not, you must. Ok... so yesterday was same ol' same ol'. Just work and the gym. But I was pretty lazy, so right when I got home around 9-ish, I just got ready for bed and was IN bed by 9:30 pm. And then I just read and watched tv until 11 pm.

I'm not really sure why I updated because nothing happened. I guess I was just inspired by Sooz's new posts. heehee. This upcoming weekend seems somewhat promising. Friday night is Lucy's (one of my coworker/friends) grad party in SJ. Saturday I think Phill, Louis and the boys want to go to the horse races during the day. And Sunday I'll have to go shopping for my sisters' graduation since it'll be my only free weekend before I head back home. I'm not sure how long it takes to engrave a few necklaces at Tiffany... I hope it's not long. Hm...

Ok. I'm bored with myself for now.

Woohoo Lazy Shopping Sunday

What a glorious lazy day. I woke up around 11:30 am and began doing what I normally do on Sundays. I started checking out the weekly online ads for Target and Best Buy. Best Buy didn't really have anything good and Target was only semi-interesting. But I had lots to do (read: buy) so I left the house around 2 pm and headed over to Serramonte Center in Daly City. First I had a loverly Panda Express lunch to start my mini adventure. Then I headed over to Hollister Co. and tried on a lot of crap but ended up with nothing... this happened again at Bakers and then Victoria's Secret.

But Target of course was the jackpot! I was looking for shorts and a strapless bra from Hollister/VS but instead I found much better (and CHEAPER) versions at Target. I spent so much money at Target... more than I normally do at least. About $150 but I did get a lot of stuff I guess.

Hmmm so what the hell did I do this weekend. Oh yeah, on Friday I was going to go to this Asian American band thingy in the Haight but since it started at 8 pm and I didn't get home until 7 pm, I was too lazy and bailed. So I just hung out on the couch for a few hours and around 10 pm Ellen and I drove down to SJ to hang out with Phill, Louis, and the rest of the gang. We met up at VIP on El Camino and drank until about 1 am. Then after we headed over to this karaoke place and was there for almost 2 hours. So much fun!! This place had all these new songs and some really random country songs that I like. Ellen and I finally got home around 4 am.

Saturday I woke up around 1:30 pm (niiiice) and Ellen made some delicious food for lunch (pancakes, bacon, scrambled eggs). Then we kind of just hung out around the house for a few hours. We headed out to Costco at like 4 pm and picked up the essentials (toilet paper and paper towels) and then went to Nordstrom Rack to look around for a bit. And again I ended up with nothing. I'm getting some bad luck in the shopping dept (except for today at Target I guess). Back home I just hung out on the couch and watched my netflix dvd (Wildboyz Season 1, disc 1). I headed out to Slide around 11 pm to meet up with Cheech, Stef and their friends. Slide sucked because we couldn't get in, so we headed out to North Beach to Dragon Bar and had a shot (yikes) and danced a bit. Then we went next door to Forty Four 3 (stupid name for a club) and were there till closing. It was pretty fun to just dance and hang out.

So that's my re-cap for the weekend. I also had a lovely long phone convo with Sooz yesterday afternoon which was nice. I'm so lazy when it comes to the phone.

Things I bought at Target:

Cute gray shorts $18, strapless bra $16, sports bra $8, Michael Buble CD $12, a new book by Marian Keyes, cotton rounds, contact solution, new contact case, gum, milk, a birthday card for my little cousin's birthday, toothbrush, nail polish remover, kleenex, tuna and crackers snack thingy, lean pockets, crystal geyser drink thingys (there are probably more little things that I forgot to add but I think this list is extensive enough as it is).

New Swimsuit

Okay, so today I don't hate my body as much as I did yesterday. Wow was I depressed yesterday. I just get super moody and bleh during my PMS times. It really sucks because I know it's the PMS and it's NOT me, but I can't help myself out of the slump. I just have to sit there and suffer through it. Stupid BODY. I swear. Anyway.

So I didn't go to the gym today because Ty had some banquet and Brian wanted to play basketball. So instead I went to the city and went shopping for a new swimsuit for Vegas! I tried a LOT of stores... Pac Sun, H&M, JCrew, Bloomie's, Quicksilver, Zara (a store that doesn't even carry swimwear), and FINALLY Macy's. Macy's actually had the BEST swimsuit selection!! They had a LOOOT of swimsuits. I tried on a few different ones... and the one I liked best of COURSE was the most expensive one that I've tried on. There were some bling bling Burberry suits at Bloomie's that were like $200 and I had to walk away from those. But the one I settled on was a really cute navy Hurley swimsuit with some heart patches on the top and on the butt part it says "Love to Love You." I'm not really sure how I feel about the butt writing part, but whatever. It's a pretty cute suit.

Anyway, after I bought the suit it was already like 8:55 pm and I wanted to try to make it Boudin's downstairs. And of course, they closed. So I just cabbed it back home to catch Grey's even though I missed it last week. And instead of delicious bread bowl clam chowder, I had beef soup with two pieces of cheese toast and apple juice. Still pretty delicious (and substantially cheaper than Boudin's). Perhaps I'll have Boudin's @ Stonestown mall this weekend, I need a pedicure and an eyebrow wax anyway.

I guess that's the end of my post. Oh wait, on a more depressing thought, today I was wondering if it's worse to be the best of the worst or the worst of the best? I was remembering back in high school when I was in AP English junior year. And I was pretty much retarded. All I got were C's and I couldn't really keep up with everyone. So after I switched back to regular English, I was way ahead of everyone else. I felt like a genius. Fast forward a few years, and I was enrolled at Pasadena City College. Again, I felt really smart (well in most classes) and I was happy being in school. I actually enjoyed going to class and learning new things. Then after I transferred to UCLA, I felt like an idiot again. I felt like I was struggling and was really unhappy academically. I feel like I'm the type of person that is easy to forget... I'm nice and kind of funny or whatever, but I'm not anything special. So I think I've come to the conclusion that I am only ordinary. It's kind of depressing to realize that you're not extraordinary. Hm. Sorry if this is a downer or whatever, but I was thinking about it on the way to work and I felt like I needed to get it off my chest.

Things I bought:

Macy's - Hurley swimsuit: top $50, bottoms $52

I Hate My Body

Time for the mid-week update. So I just went to the gym; was on the elliptical machine for about 35 minutes, then rode the stationary bike for about 15 minutes. And then I weighed myself. No change after four weeks of going to the gym at least 3x a week. What the hell is wrong with my body? Why is it so resistant to SHRINK. I honestly hate my body right now. Maybe it's just the PMS bringing on the self-loathing... but I really REALLY hate my body right now. Looking at myself in the mirror makes me very sad...almost to the point of tears.

Um, that's about all that's happened this week. Monday I worked from home because my body was sore from Sunday's rafting adventure, yesterday I just went to the gym and then played volleyball for a bit, and today I've just been working and I just got back from the gym. *sigh What a depressing entry... stupid body.

What's this? A NON-LAZY Sunday?

Yes. It can be done I guess. This weekend has been quite the adventure! And very very fun. Friday after work I hit the gym with Brian and Ty and after the gym, we (plus Cheech) went to L&L's Hawaiian BBQ. Yum! I got the kalbi plate and spam musubi. So delicious. I really should've been born Hawaiian. In Hawaii. So I could be there now. Moving on... So after dinner, I went to Target with Ty and bought a water-proof camera for this weekend. After I got home, I just relaxed and watched TV with Ellen and went to bed semi-early.

Saturday, Ellen and I woke up and got ready for our camping/rafting adventure. We also got
McD's for lunch. Mmmmm McD's. Why so delicious and disastrous for your health? So once we were full of delicious fattening food, packed, and ready to go we headed down to the CalTrain station to pick up Phill and get some last minute groceries. We got all the ingredients for deeelicious S'mores and some chips and salsa. Yum. After the market, we hit the road on our way to Lotus, CA to set up camp and let the fun begin. We got there hella* early thanks to Ellen's fast driving and since we didn't even have a tent to set up, we just laid a blanket out in the grass and relaxed for awhile. Which was marvelous. After a bit, the rest of the gang showed up (Charlie, Jas, Momo, Mike C, Mike R, Sammi, Chris and like 6 other people that I forgot the names of) and we all set up some tents. I shared this ginormous tent with Phill, Ellen, and Momo. After setting up the tents, we got the campfire going and started to cook dinner (chili dogs!). Mostly we just hung out, ate snacks (mmmm S'mores), and drank lots and lots and LOTS of beer. Well I didn't. I had one and the bathrooms were hella** far away. Ellen and I went to bed around 11 or so, but everyone else didn't sleep till like 12 or 1 (they were mostly drunk and rowdy). It was FREEZING at night. I had my new sleeping bag and was wearing socks, PJ pants, a shirt, and a sweat shirt and I was sooo cold. I had to put my AF jacket inside and put it over my middle section. That worked quite nicely!

Sunday morning, we woke up at 8:15 AM and ate a yummy breakfast that Charlie made: spicy
ramen noodles, spam, veggies, and hard boiled eggs. An interesting and delicious breakfast. After breakfast we had to break down camp and change to get ready for white water rafting!! At 10 AM we met down at the rafting area and were given our orientation by our guides. Then we hopped into the raft and started our adventure down the American River!!! It was QUITE exciting... well actually, the first half was really calm while we learned how to maneuver the boat. Our guide, Joe, was this really funny and nice outdoors-y kinda guy. At lunch we stopped at this one spot and had sandwiches and fruit and cookies. Healthy! After lunch it was back on the river. The rafting after lunch was much more exciting (class 2 and 3 rapids) and we all got pretty wet and had tons-o-fun. Finally at around 4 PM we hit the lake at the end of the river and all jumped out and swam around (the water was very dirty and VERY cold... and very fun). We were then towed by a jet ski to shore and bused back to the campsite. After getting dressed and packed up, Ellen and I headed back home to the city. We got home around 7-ish and picked up some Burger King for dinner. Now, my face is SUPER sun-burnt, my body is horribly sore, and I am beat.

What a long long long entry!!

WooHoo TGIF

Yes! It is Friday once again. I have survived another week... amazing. So far this day has been quiet and somewhat productive. I've done half of the work for the day, so after lunch just have to do the rest and I'll be good to go. Uh, I'm not really sure why I'm posting since I have nothing to really write about. My life is unexciting and boring. The only thing I did was go to Happy Hour last night. Except it wasn't really an "hour"... we were there from 4 PM till 9:30 PM. Niiiice. So it's more like Happy Four Hours. Delightful. I had a few of these AWESOME drinks that were comprised of:

Razzmatazz (some raspberry liqueur), Vodka, Sweet&Sour, 7-up

Delicious! Also, we watched the first half of the Warriors game and it was VERY exciting. The first two quarters, the teams were SO close. I didn't watch the second half, but I hear the Warriors won. hehe.

Okay, this post was pathetic. I'm done.

New Post for Mother-F'in Brian

yeah yeah yeah. updates! So today is finally Thursday. One day closer to Friday... thank goodness. This week has been... well not TOO shabby, but perhaps a bit stressful. Let's recap the week so far.

Monday - work, gym, Wal-Mart, home, Heroes!

Tuesday - (Ellen's Birthday!), work, home, Ellen opened her presents, Ellen made dinner (kimchee-chigae), went to drop off the rent checks

Wednesday - work, shopping, home. I was supposed to go speed dating but Cheech wasn't feeling well so we skipped it. I also watched the movie Night at the Museum at home. It was pretty lame, but semi-entertaining.

And I guess that's all that really happened this week. Nothing too spectacular. More like craptacular.

Things I Bought for Ellen's Birthday:

Black shirt from Express, alarm clock from Brookstone, blue shirt from AE, piggy bank from Urban

Things I Bought for Camping:

Two Coleman camping bags for only $18 each!

Things I Bought for No Reason:

H&M - PJ Dress $7.90, little stripey shoes $9.90, Black sweater $12.90

Urban - two pairs of Havianas, one black pair $16, one brown pair $20... but they were buy one get the 2nd pair 50% off.

Hopefully I'll have a more exciting weekend update after camping/rafting.
